...I like Mr. Sakaguchi's development, I must say that Blue Dragon doesn't appear to stir many things up. I mean the DOA-3 caused a sale of about 250,000 Xboxes when it was launched. So far DOA-4 has been a major know-not in Japan because it just couldn't get there, neither have any other Japaneese developed game for the 360. I've just read the latest impressions on blue-dragon at gamebrink.com, and while things are intriguing...they are by no means anything newer than Grandia-3, Valkyrie Pro...
...being the machine not excelling in the CPU department can only dream of running this title...with the amount of procedural synthesis and the other physics simulations running in there(water, wind, smoke, cloth, fire, fur, rain and wetting of dragon skin is all procedural and smoke and fire are specially volumetric)360 will choke at. Infact, 360 chokes at running the bland environment title 99 nights and basically has slow downs in even the GPU specific games like gears of war as well.
...and the original Xbox seems to be 'deader' than ever !
EA's PS3 use is described in FNR3 and the oncoming lord of the rings online franchises that are the games which really show pushing some stuff, so if these games which pretty much would consume the life out of a full grown PC only require 20% of the PS3, then EA is really gonna show what a true use of PS3 will deliver.
Gears uses 40% of the 360 power as they said because basically all it uses is the GPU...c'mon tell me what else was there in gears...also the procedural synthes...
...360 is good for is using a competition-less time. PS3's shortages caused the difference, otherwise 360 would've been history by now. Still I would like to see how much difference does Blue Dragon makes when FF-XII and Rogue Galaxy, Seiken Densetsu 4 and Valkyrie Profile exists on PS2 and goes to PS3 !!!
Killer-app is defined as the application that is capable of being 'run-able' on that specific system only, and any other system running it would be bound to loose much content and features.
Here's around-up of PS3 killer-apps in the launch window:
"Resistance": is a killer-app because it features a record making 40 players online, and managing of 3D objects totally manipulatable onscreen like destroying of buildings and rodusing debris and NPC bodies th...
...the best downloaded content ever, on any system !
...how much effort the media is putting into getting up such a news and publishing it...Hah ! even if blu-ray looses, PS3 will come to DVDs that's all, they will always have the choice...unlike 360, but PS3 will always stay ahead with HDD, motion control, full backward-compatibility and you know most outstanding exclusive titles...such news are now LAME-square !!! HAHAHA !
Each PS3 sold is a Blu-Ray player sold ! so mill. means a million Blu-ray players. While stand-alone HD-DVD players don't make anything about 3 or 4 years, the only hope is with getting into 360, and just estimate the cost of a 360 system including an HD-DVD rom that can't even play games...hmmm, a 599$ system worth nothing...no deachable HDD, simple backward compatibilty, mediocre games and DVd playback for games(blue dragon is already being released on 3 DVDs), so 360 with HD-DVD would be 5...
...its in the launch window of the PS3, the special treat is that its not so late to get. Alongside Resistance, MotorStorm, Lair and F1, Heavenly Sword makes yet another Killer-app so early in making !
"The PS3 looks like an expensive box at first, but seems less so when you compare its cost to the cost of a stand-alone Blu-ray player, a high-end PC graphics card, the Xbox 360 with its HD-DVD add-on, or even a Media Center PC.

So, if you really basing your comments on technical comparison...the whole web is approving of PS3's superiority, bluray is in there, CELL is in there, detachable HDD is supported, you can install OS of your choi...
...E3 !!! Hey, really ?!!! I thought Cerula was a geek, but I guess he's totally lost his mind, man E3 ?!!! C'mon dude wake up already...its Nov 2006, next-gen has just started, MotorStorm is near finished and is launching in two weeks...and one thing more, its PLANET EARTH...O.K., Now don't you go out asking people about this, children will throw pebbles at you HaHaHa !
...about MotorStorm is the CPU work. While its really stunning to see that such a beautiful game is coming out at such early a stage of the PS3 life-cycle, even when the machine is all new, unfathomed and difficult to program for, the thing that really takes the stage alongwith the visual appeal, is the interactivity/tangibility...wh ich the 360 can only dream of. This is why IGN clearly, without any indirection, stated MotorStorm as being 'the first true step towards the next-gen'. Not even ...
That's what we all have been saying all year long...there was no next-gen until Nov. 2006 yeah ! even Mark Rein said that when he stated that 'what Sony says is BS that next-gen starts with PS3 launches, it starts when gears will be released' in this way he too iterated that yeah, the year long huffing and puffing of MS and the 360 fanboys was for nothing. Next-gen indeed started with PS3 launch, the most exquisite console ever...in Nov. 2006 !!! Gears developer(the only GPU kller-app of 360)...

Ufff!!!...exceptional indeed, never have ever seen like this here.
"IGN UK: The wet weather effects look fantastic but is the weather system dynamic?
Graeme Ankers: It is, yes. It can start off sunny at the beginning of a race but then turn cloudy and overcast. Sporadic light rain will then fall, with a little spray coming off the back of the cars before it moves onto heavy rain. That can actually take place over the course of a single lap, so in a 10 lap race is can start sunny, rain in the middle and then dry up at the end, with the racing ...
Infact, you europeans are going to be the luckiest of the lot, PS3s will be most bugs free, most features unlocked and best of all, the best of the next-gen lineup will be awaiting you...Virtua Fighter 5, Heavenly Sword, MotorStorm and even the PS2's god of war 2, so...yeah I'll be getting mine from the European launch too, as I'm planning to visit UK around March.

PS3 is getting everything from PS1 and PS2 so definitely he'l pick up the PS3. I think 360's limitations have limitized your fanboy brains as well !
The system is having killer-apps(and procedural synthesis based at that...WOW!) so early in the life cycle, almost full backward compatibility, motion control, blue-tooth, HDD, open platform OS support, cellular phone connectivity, PSP connectivity, gameplay recording facility and Blu-Ray disc support from the offset for HD movies WOW indeed !!!
