How can anyone disagree with dude111? It's not his opinion, it's a fact...
Nobody bothers with Halo anymore? So why are there always a couple hundred thousand people on the multiplayer servers? Think before you post.
How could you possibly be disappointed with Bayonetta? That game was awesome, and there weren't very high expectations for it.
I agree that the single player in Reach wasn't anything special. I feel it was as good or better than a lot of other shooters, but it didn't really do anything particularly innovative or new. However, the multiplayer is excellent and is arguably the best online shooter experience on a console. That's why I feel that it is not overrated.
Mass Effect 1 was the game where most of the actual story was. ME2 was much more a story about the characters and building a team, whereas ME1 has much more of an actual developed plot which will be resolved in ME3. In short, saying that missing ME1 isn't a big deal is stupid. The interactive comic might fill people in a bit, but probably not enough. If you plan to get ME2 on ps3, I'd at least try to play ME1 on pc first.
If you don't have a 360 or a pc that could run it and haven't played it yet, then it's a no-brainer. ME2 is getting GOTY consideration from every gaming publication around, and for good reason. If you've already played the game, it's probably not worth it. There's no new content except the comic opening that doesn't matter if you played ME1, and the graphics improvements aren't worth the extra money. Bottom line, get it for ps3 if you don't have a pc th...
I only own a 360, and there will be plenty of games to keep me occupied. I mean, sure there aren't as many exclusives but I still get to play ME3, Dragon Age 2, Elder Scrolls 5 and many other great multiplat games. I mean, those three alone will probably get me 300+ hours of gameplay. Then throw in Gears 3 and the other exclusives and I'll be plenty happy with the lineup.
I still just don't understand how ME2 is the best 360 game, GoW3 is the best PS3 game, but somehow Red Dead is the overall best game. Something just doesn't add up...
you seem to be forgetting Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, RE5, Fable, Forza, Banjo Kazooie, Shadow Complex, 'Splosion Man, Trials HD, Super Meat Boy, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Kameo, Ninja Gaiden, Crackdown and Dead Rising to name a few.
You are just absolutely wrong...
The list should only consist of Bioware characters. No other characters compare. Some of my favorites include: Minsc, Sarevok, Jon Irenicus, Imoen, Bastilla, Jolee Bindo, Revan, Malak, Kreia, Commander Shephard, Urdnot Wrex, Tali Zorah, Thane, Liara, Samara, Garrus, the Illusive Man, Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana, and Shale.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I have it DA:O PC, but from the little that they have shown it seems like DA2 is more geared towards consoles. It would be nice if they showed some more footage of the game on both console and PC before January 11th. I'm also wondering if having a DA:O save file will carry over anything from the first game.
IMO, Carth Onassi from KOTOR is the most annoying character ever. He's always whining about something. It made it so satisfying to watch him run off after you forced Zallabar to kill Mission.
If neither this or the new one they announced come to 360 and they actually get released in the US, I may finally have to buy a PS3.
It's because japanese companies are infatuated with lengthy cg cutscenes that aren't in many western games. I mean, in the article kojima says that there aren't any really long cutscenes, but he does say that the final one is 14 minutes. That's long, IMO.
If you read the article, you'd see that you don't even need to swap discs.
"He revealed that the first LOS Xbox disc will offer an install option on the in-game menu, allowing gamers to play the full title off the second disc."
Finally, someone using the xbox game install feature right.
I agree that SC2 is probably the most anticipated game of 2010. However, I still think reach is more anticipated than GOW3 and GT5. I'm not saying that everyone feels the same way, but shooters are the "in" genre right now and I feel that Reach will beat both GOW and GT in sales (GOW definitely). People keep bringing up GT3 sales numbers, but shooters weren't as popular and racers were more popular when it was released and the ps2 had a much larger install base than the p...
You can't go to R rated movies unless you're of age or accompanied by an adult, so why should video games be any different? From what I read, it's not banning the sale of violent games, it's simply requiring proof of age to be able to buy them. Many stores do this already anyways.
I'm not being a fanboy, I'm just kinda poor at the moment and don't want to spend $300 when I already have a 360.
Play it on PC. It plays pretty much exactly the same as the first, except no tactical top-down view.
