The Playstation and Xbox360 consoles have always been pretty much the same when it boils down to it, hence the 90% of dual platform games.
The Playstation has larger storage on it's disks, but the Xbox360 has a faster loading time.
Basically, the difference between the systems will only be really shown in first party exclusive titles. PS3 (Metal gear and Resistance) and the Xbox360's (Gears of War and Halo 3).
.....next March. :)
....and leave movies for HD DVD, it's obviously the better movie format anyway and is outselling the bluray thing 4:3.
Anyone with any common sense is going for HD DVD for movies, better price and better spec Take a look:- http://www.dvdtown.com/arti...
:)
Sony PS3 "This raises the cost of Living!".
:)
They must have had an agreement to keep it quiet till September. :)
It'd better feature a lot of new stuff as it's going to cost £500 to play the damn thing!
The TGS and X'06 shows will definitely make the Marketplace the hub of all the information.
I'm going to be picking up a second Xbox360 for my girlfriend this Christmas, along with a Live vision camera, Kameo, Viva Pinata & Lego Star Wars.
She loves mine and being able to have a video chat across Live without all the expensive phone calls (We will both have Xbox Live anyway) will be really cool. :)
Bluray is second best after HD DVD, please don't be blinded by Sony's Hype.
Use your brain and read independent reviews and websites, you'll be very glad you did.

I thought the same as you until I looked at the facts, so it's not really your fault.
They found a Bluray drive that worked for longer than 20 Minutes. :)
The sites that know movie formats, know it's HD DVD that's the format to choose.
The advantages, pricing and hype free electronics are already here.

This is really going to add a lot of variety to my Xbox360 gaming. It's going to make a nice change from Dead Rising, Gears of War, Lost Planet, Test Drive Unlimited and Forza 2 sessions.
We need more Lego Star Wars II, Kameo & Viva Pinata style games, all shooting and driving will make gaming dull. Nice one Microsoft. :)
Live anywhere is quite hard to explain, but this website seems to do it the best, take a look:-

It's really cool and starts a lot sooner than you think, see you on Live, wither on your Xbox360, PC or Mobile phone or all three it's up to you. :)
......but it is nice to finally clear it up.
Thanks, it's not the first time 1up has got it wrong and it probably won't be the last.
See you all on Xbox Live, Pro Evo & FIFA already on pre-order. :)
.....and then had to have an update to say Microsoft were right, there is no PS3 version till end of Summer 2007.
Apparently the poor Konami guy being interviewed had not got the internal memo.
.....they had to update it and admit Microsoft was right. The Konami memo had not reached every department and the poor "Seabass" admitted it wasn't going to be on PS3 until late Summer 2007.
Microsoft were right, poor Konami guy was wrong.
First PS3 FIFA "FIFA 2008" (next autumn), First PS3 "Pro Evo/Winning Eleven" (Late Summer 2007)
oh well.
Apparently, Microsoft were right, the earliest Pro Evo will release is Summer 2007!
It's Konami's internal departments that got it wrong, nobody told the poor guy in the interview!
...is that what you get for your extra $200 ?
I'll keep the cash and get a Wii console thanks.
great news but I think you mean 2007.
