NX dev kits only just went to devs Dev kits always arrive 2 years before a console launches. no way NX is before Christmas 2017. This is still a wii u game. If you think Nintendo would risk losing 4 million sales on the wii u for a million at launch on NX you are all crazy.

Agreed. The bigger issues is asshats like Jim Sterling who attacked Quiet's outfit for no good reason and would of attacked this game for the same reasons. But even though Nintendo of America removed the outfits, Jim and his associates at Destructoid tried to create a negative atmosphere around the game by pushing out their reviews as quick as possible with negative scores.
In fairness this is not Nintendo, this is Nintendo of America. It is not to protect innocent eyes either. It is to avoid the bs that games like Mgs got for Quiet's outfit. Even though these costumes actually require certain criteria to be met before they unlock that would not stop the gaming press trying to call the game sexiest. Instead those people who would call it sexiest have resorted to scoring it low for false reasons.
That is pretty dam cheap.
The thing is.. to even unlock these costumes required a level of skill, they are not just options so I cant fathom this at all.

500k in a month is pretty good. Mario maker is a word of mouth game. Just like Splatoon. Both are bought at a regular pace as more people catch on to how good they actually are. I was very skeptical about mario maker.. Then i got it and I was like.. this is the best game.. this is really great.
Yep, the sales have dived and will continue to do so. 2014 was a great year for console sales, however, that momentum was based, a great deal, on excitement for a new product. Now, that original excitement has passed we will get a much clearer picture of what the real condition of the console industry is. I fear we are going to see a point where both the ps4 and xbox decline in sales massively in 2016.

The reason scores are all over is because this is a wii u game. The same happened with Zombiu.. then a totally unchanged downgrade was released and suddenly it was a good game.

Mass denial would occur. The big issue would be if Nintendo can do 60 fps. Then there will be no reason to buy a ps4.
Power is relevant. Nintendo can lower the price of the wii u and keep that as the family orientated console. The NX could be just for hardcore gamers. NX sounds like it is being designed specifically to appeal to the people who want the biggest numbers on their tech. The people who upgrade their phones yearly. What it sounds like Nintendo is aiming for is the Apple market.

I would say that the NX needs to be twice the power of ps4 in the cpu and a little more powerful in the gpu department. The cpu is the big issue in the PS4.

Sony just proved that removing backward compatability from a a system prolonged the life of the ps3 and increased the sales of the ps4.
