The investors were hoping for a real Nintendo game.. Instead Nintendo put out shovel ware that no one wants. I would blame Iwata for the decision to make a mii social game as the first game instead of something more appealing to smartphone users. They should have made a pikmin salvage game. They could have allowed one day every day and charged for extra days.

Sora has only ever made Nintendo published games. I cant see anyone from sony banging down his door to make what Sakurai is selling. His games are too Nintendo. Also, it is totally untrue that Sora can work on Sony or any other third party games, Sora is 72% funded by Nintendo.
Backwards compatability will be abandoned next gen. There is no reason to kill the price of your previous console.

The dreamcast had one good game. Powerstone. the rest were crap.
It was just a good console because it ran pirate games with no homebrew. All you had to do was get the original disk and make a direct copy and it worked. It was a crap console with a fairly mediocre controller and crap games.
The wii u has sold well over the dreamcast and continues to sell at a premium price.

There is no actual proof the Dreamcast sold 10.6 million that is just the number that were manufactured.
It sold 6 million in 2 and half years. These sites cant even research the information that is from 2002 and pretty easy to find.
The 10.6 million may never have sold some may still be sat in storage somewhere.

I just dont see nintendo using power pc for the next console. So making the NX backward compatible seems totally unrealistic. If Nintendo really wants third parties it has to go with the standard used on PC, just like microsoft and sony did.
Why? children are the majority of their market. Adultchildren like us are going to buy PCs sooner or later.
