Nintendo must be a threat to this guy... Or he likes a dual screened penis
They don't want PS3 owners to trade in their consoles for a WiiU. Sony understands this appeal and don't want to be left out in the cold. There's no other reason why they would react like Nintendo is copying them, which is essentially what they're saying. The sad thing is, PS4 won't have this kind of connectivity either....
Best thing since Super Nintendo
Actually, my PS3 crapped out playing a downloaded PS1 game. It wasn't the fact that it stopped working that made me angry. Sony told me they'd charge me 150$ for a refurb, when 360 pros said they'd fix 'my Playstation' for 100$. Then, a year later, it craps out again, from some kind of green mist on the screen appearing everytime it was about to crash. Granted, it was an earlier fat 40 gig model, but I doled out well over a 'grand' invested in to my "Piece...
Replace "gimmick" with "idea we will emulate at a later date".
This system will be remembered long after PS360 are dead and gone. A story of David defeats two Goliaths. Wii defined a generation of gamers and non-gamers. To deny this is simplistic ignorance. This console will symbolize Nintendo's immortality and whether this generation of "core gamers" believe it, will be irrelevant.
Well, it'd be nice to see some epic Zelda DLC, but why charge money for a few more hours of a game you already paid for? Though, I have to say, Brotherhood of Steel is one of my fav, all time experiences. I just dont think it was quite worth 80 dollars. Damn you Bethesda!! Why do I love your games!?!
Yea, i was gonna post that. They've already been talking about that. I have to say I loved Castlevania SotN on PS3. I wanna buy Rogue Leader and Eternal Darkness. Can we get over the "Nintendo sucks" religion? These haters are scared.
Mario is clearly Joseph Stalin. And Zelda practices magic and should be burned at the stake. Why would they have a Gamepad touchscreen unless it was for chopping up your cocaine?
"Wii would like to play."
I still think Nintendo has always been more fun to play. With the exception of Dead Space. If I cared more about graphics, I'd go watch a Pixar movie.
With such an oddly ignorant editorial, I can only deduce that the author is as uninformed as he is threatened. Most if not all of his complaints are premature and seemingly exhausted. I wonder why these websites feel the need to berate an unreleased system and deem it newsworthy to complain in such a way. It's sad and amusing. I suppose the author would trade the Gamepad for a traditional controller and slightly better graphics, because that's so original. Maybe it needs to play...
They need to push third party success. If they fail, third party reluctance will be a curse.
If you're going to troll, at least sound like you know what you're talking about. WiiU is three or four times more powerful, but I guess you have your mind made up before it comes out anyway. You would only talk like that if you felt threatened in some way. Don't be scared! Sony and MS are monster corporations that can afford to take a loss to compete with each other. I'm sure they'll find a way to copy Nintendo.
It doesn't matter what "incentives" we get for going digital, we still want to trade our games for newer ones. Lower your prices 20 bucks and I'll think about it. But if my WiiU craps out in 5 years, I can still have my games without having to fix the console, right?!?!
The complaints about Nintendo rehashes comes to mind. It seems the state of the industry is causing developers to minimize risks and sell what historically sells well. Will GTA, Halo, COD, or Mario be much different than their predecessors?... no, but people still love em. They're just chasing the money. As long as they keep making them progressively better, we'll be there to eat it all up.
It is vital that Nintendo acquire the franchise. GTA is adored by millions, and if there is one third party game to get, this is the one. If Nintendo can't strike a deal, I'm afraid the curse of dismal third party support will only worsen. The gamepad peripheral could prove useful to entice an agreement. Although, I'd rather see Dead Space.
Yeah, Nintendo always do well for themselves, but if 3rd party doesn't, everyone suffers. I hope Nintendo can break their curse of dismal third party support.
I meant serious "core" games, which didn't sell well on Wii no matter what you think third party support was like. The last year for Wii was dismal, much like the 2 consoles before it. In 2 years, I predict if 3rd party isn't strong, you'll see a wave of Wii U owners trading in their Nintendo for something else. I won't, but others will.
Again, none of this means anything in two years if third parties don't consistently support the console. Also, if the gamepad is durable enough for kids to use it.
It's odd that Nintendo is the company that takes the biggest risks.
