IDK, I'm thinking ZombiU will be everything that RE:6 wasn't.
And there are plenty of people who haven't played these games.
Add some content and then appeal to a different crowd.
I'd like to play some of these games without obsolete controllers.

I'm sorry, but the Ps360 controllers are 'outdated', and are all reiterations of Nintendo controllers.

I disagree. There's no way both companies will release vastly more powerful consoles. If they do, we're looking at another $600 console in this economy? Financial suicide.
Sony and Microsoft don't make games anyway, so making hardware is all they do. Sure, games "look" better, but I'd rather play Megaman 3 than half the new games out now. There's plenty of crap movies that "looked" good. Games aren't supposed to be about graphics anyway, ta...

Those were the days... Dizzy's adventure, Zelda 2, Rushin' Attack, Platoon, TMNT. Games that are easy are no fun.

What does Vita matter? It's not meant to be like WiiU, and never will be, at least not on Ps3. It's not popular enough to warrent the man hours to develop cross-play when you have to have a Ps3, get a Vita, and then buy the game. That's over $700 right there. Although it would be nice to see a Ps3/Vita bundle run at about $450, maybe next year.

Yeah, and I think Nintendo wants to keep their hands clean when it comes to overly vulgar gamers. Nintendo is family oriented as well. I hear "rape" used non-stop on Halo. Not everyone should have a mic.

You mean they are held to a higher standard because they are family oriented.

Because they're ports. Games made from the ground up on WiiU won't be able to port to Ps3. It's kind of like backwards compatability. If it's power you're more concerned with, that would make sense, since Sony doesn't really make games anyway. It's a next gen Nintendo, get over it.

Hedging it's bets because Nintendo always does, with every console. It doesn't have the luxury of falling back on the sales of other electronics. That's why they're the best in the gaming business. Not because their console is better, not because they are utilizing online capabilites, and not because third party does well on their hardware. It's become abuntantly clear that they are the best in the business, because they know how to make games, and that's based on sale...

Well, Nintendo can use all the help they can get. Hopefully it's true, and you can use the gamepad as a steering wheel.

But Apple doing it is ok?

Definitely some concerns that need addressed. I know Nintendo will do well for a couple years. It's when their competitors get out the gate that concerns me.

4977d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

At first I wondered why, but now I understand. Nintendo makes family friendly games. Gamers are often vulgar and innapropriate. It's that simple.

Even if it doesn't sell as many units as its predecessor, success should be gauged more on software sales. In this regard Wii came up short. Sure, it was a success for Nintendo, but third party developers fared much worse.

WiiU could "only" sell 30 million consoles in 3 years, and still be a great success. If the average WiiU owner purchases say, 8 games, maybe 2 first party titles, that's sufficient to claim success.

By all accounts, the...

Well, I suppose that would make this one the 'incomplete' version. It looks like this is the beginning of their efforts to sabatoge their own success. Now they can bitch about it not selling as well on WiiU.

Well Nintendo, this has to be the next nail in the coffin on your third party curse. Let's hope online play is decent.

*facepalm*

Yeah, what makes it so different than movies? Red Box! Hello?! There isn't already a 'Gamestop' boycott? Anybody who shops there is a lame. Let's pay 60 dollars for a store clerk to sell me game so they can make money off of gamers and developers. Who wants a middle man? Gamestop is a parasite feeding off of our kids dreams, when they give 15 dollars for a Skyrim trade in so they can sell it for 3 times as much.

How about I pay Bethesda 50 dollars for their ...

This is bull. Why can't you just plug in your stupid SD card. Put an SD card slot in the dumb controller! Oh wait.. Nintendo wants you to pay for a 3DSi XL slim so we get 'Sony Cross Played!'
WHAMMY!!

I see more Nintendo IP's created in this regard. Although using the Gamepad throughout gameplay will be revolutionary, it shouldn't have to be used a lot. I would prefer to bring the controller up to the line of sight of my television, so I could still watch the screen. I don't want to have to constantly look back and forth. If there was a way to memorize what I was doing without having to look at the GP, that would be ideal.

It will take practice for developers ...

That's right. Third Party support seems to be a curse they need to break away from. I suspect that to be the reason why NSMBU is the only first party title available at launch. The more participation they get, the better it will be. Acquiring GTA5, is prudent. They've got 2 years to get their sh*t together, and it may be their last chance for Nintendo not to be marginalized as a third party developers pit of despair.

Apple is doing it, not to legitimize the practice, but people demand cheap consumption. I doubt Nintendo had Wii U assembled by a bunch of adolescents. Wal-Mart's products are almost exclusively child labor, but people still shop there. We're Americans, we're all looking for the best deal at any cost.

4979d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah, quite honestly, they'd better make their online capabilities just as good or better than Microsoft, because if not, this would be a dealbreaker for thousands of pre-orders. Nintendo is treading thin ice if they can't put up a reasonable online service. Let's not pretend that Nintendo hasn't disappointed before. We expect some results with all those Wii profits. Let's have something to show for it.
