Or their property, as in the case of Death Stranding. We KNOW that's another exclusive.
That looked like an early PS5 game... Holy.... Moly.....
I'm trying to understand what you're babbling about, with all due respect. Much of this has nothing to do with what is being discussed.
Heavenly Sword is owned by Sony and Enslaved is owned by Bandai Namco.
Just feels like he's going to be another Quantic Dream for Sony, in the long run. He develops the games, Sony owns the properties. Can't go wrong with it, as I expect Death Stranding to be glorious on the PS4 and PS4 Pro!
@ SierraGuy: You can get deep stories from several mediums. No need for the superiority complex.
Also, 30fps doesn't "suck in any game", but 60 is obviously better (though I don't know who you're talking to, as no one argued otherwise).
They don't need a "fantastic show". Just show their goods. That's all that matters.
@Kryptix: Uh, I didn't say "break the game". 'Make or break' is a saying. I meant it can be a game changer. It is OBVIOUSLY an improvement. The one you should have quoted was the one who implied that 60fps didn't really make for a substantial difference, which would be BeardedDrachen.
Eh, they got the message across and 2017 was PlayStation's strongest year ever (total units sold), despite the 'lukewarm E3 show'. They focus on several shows, in fact, not just one. As a result, they continue to provide what people want - and that is why they're doing as good as they are.
Besides, a 'good E3 show' is up to the viewer, not some collective hive mind that expects new announcement after new announcement. They showed games last year, pl...
60fps can definitely make/break a game, depending on the genre (such as fighting or racing).
That said, I agree that we need deeper stories, better (and more advanced) AI, dynamic envirnoments, etc...
The only mess I see here is the combination of letters you dare to call an article. Poorly written and painfully pretentious.
Yup
@Neon: How much did they pay?
@ Sevir: No. It is not like SFV. Capcom owns that. Sony owns this. The PC talk has since been scrapped and nothing has been mentioned of it, by either Kojima nor Sony, in two years.
@ Imalwaysright:
Slight correction from me - Death Stranding is protected, by a trademark, under the law of Intellectual Property (known as Intellectual Property Protection). Both copyrights and trademarks are protected by that. Thus, Death Stranding belongs to Sony Interactive Entertainment...... 100%. That's why you'll never be able to find anything with Kojima Productions' name on it, because the property is not theirs.
No. It is Sony's property, secured by trademark, under IP Protection. Thus, there won't be a different publisher and, most likely, will never been greenlit for a PC release by Sony.
To enjoy the game, you're still going to have to go through Sony. The Engine is theirs and Death Stranding is trademarked under Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).
@ Imalwaysright: It is Trademarked, under Copyright Law, by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).
I've seen you in discussions about this before. If Kojima Productions owns the property, the burden of proof is on you. Otherwise, Trademarks are protected under that Law. Sony owns the rights to the name, Death Stranding, meaning nothing can be done, involving that name, without their permission or one risks being sued for Copyright Infringement.

Agreed. They very much still care for E3.
Hopefully, Sony wasn’t chasing some meaningless crown. I’m glad I got what I got.
