My PS4 has a whole host of games not available on either of the competing platforms. Plenty of exclusives to play. Sure, lots of 3rd party games (which has always been the case with competing machines - the 16-bit era consoles shared a nice chunk of the libraries, for example), but that's besides the point as a "gamer" (an arbitrary term anyway).
If you actually value the hobby, then you should applaud any effort to strengthen it. Sony has done that tenfold wi...
Research is needed here, my friend. At most, there would be 2m on store shelves, which means, at least, 80.2m sold to consumer (which doesn't matter in the grand scheme anyway - shipped to retailers is still a sale). That's around 6-8m less than the PS3's entire life and there is still plenty of time left. The only reason there will be a decline this year is because the system is 5 years old and has already broken records multiple years in a row. No console can sustain that.
Spot on.
I realize that the name of this site is 'DigitalTrends', but no, 343i doesn't need to follow the latest one (and thankfully they aren't). :)
Just gonna throw this out there - but if you're going to call people "uneducated", at least do so without grammatical errors.
And there isn't a set definition for what a "gamer" is supposed to be.
Well said.
The PC will be the best version. Doesn't matter if one PC can do it or 1,000,000. The best versions of multiplats are on that platform. This isn't new and should require any discussion.
On top of that, the article states: "Of course, Beynon is clearly referring to the console market here. Metro Exodus will also launch on PC and there it should be the first game to implement NVIDIA’s RTX technology for real-time raytracing when it launches on February 22nd, 2019...
You need to stop chasing people around and spamming the same type of message over and over. People can be excited for the game.
Yup!
1. BC was around long before XB1 and it didn't make it mainstream at all. Thank PlayStation for that.
2. Game Pass hasn't changed gaming. It is an addition to Xbox.
3. Hardcore Appeal for hardware? Now that's simply reaching.
4. Mods. Nope, Xbox didn't make this mainstream in the slightest. Not only were they around long before the X1 (let's not forget about UTIII on PS3), Mods still aren't a standard on consoles. They are what they've al...
Unfortunately, this is true.
OT: Hopefully it means they won't give up on it. At least there is a date, though.
This is one of those moments when you realize that a pointless story has run its course. The brand will be fine, with/without Fortnite cross-play. We need some material now.
Well said. This is on top of the fact that the market is speaking. Sony continues to win month after month, year after year, in system sales. If it were that big of a deal, people would start buying their competitors' machines at faster rates.
Simple. People like to create this sort of drama.....over and over.
None of it was 'fake' (a now commonly misused word thanks to one silly tweet).
Thank you.
They already did, since they purchased the property. Besides, it's not like he's the only one developing games for their system, and of late, their risk taking has been paying off.
So, they should do exactly as they're doing and let Kojima do his thing, particularly as the man's credentials speak for themselves.
You obviously haven't played Left Behind.
OT: I agree that folks need to get over it, but if we keep writing articles, people will just keep talking more about it. The best way to close the door on a none issue is to stop giving it air time.
He did that already.
Exactly.
