Psvr2 is abandoned. I'll never understand Sony's strategy (or lack of one) with that.
While I want another modern remake of 1, I think code Veronica should be first. The first re1 remake holds up amazingly well. Give CV it's due.

Kinda cool I guess. Seems they just allowed the camera to zoom in right on top of the characters head and then able to control movement like a fps. Makes me wonder what the game would be like if I didn't ever zoom way out and scroll over the environment to check out for enemies nearby almost constantly.
And it would likely play like trash compared to the first 2, at least on PS5.
@lucian That first disc was a whopper though. I don't remember the second being as long, and the third is basically just the final dungeon.
I'm glad they did 3 games. The first 2 have been absolutely phenomenal. Looking forward to the Weapons (the real ones) waking up and attacking, the underwater exploration (they set that up pretty good with the lore of Under Junon), and finally Cloud's big reveal. It'll be real interesting to see how they handle the repe...
Those are all great ideas. Having Chadley ringing in my ear every 2 minutes was the worst part of the game. If day maybe relegate him to the protorelics (which I have up on in Cosmo Canyon, just got fed up with it), and he can still craft special materia or something in exchange for points, but he needs to take a home in the 3rd game.

For the love of God, yes! I got so frustrated being interrupted every 2 minutes for the same information in EVERY region. I can forgive this in the grasslands since that's the opening area, but this continued thoughout the entire playthrough.

Yeah I didn't want to say much if others would consider a spoiler. I don't think the "whale" design fits the defenders of the planet vibe. Plus I'm REALLY looking forward to the whole weapon march on Junon/Midgar part. The whales just wouldn't work for that IMO.

They're owned by EA. What makes you think that they wouldn't publish for PS5? Shoot, if your fridge could connect to your bank account EA would try to release it for that if they could!
I have complete faith they'll wrap up the game nicely and all that, the only real complaint I had with rebirth as far as consistency with the OG game is what they did with those "weapons". As long as they give us the proper weapon battles in the next game I'm all good. And bring on Vincent!
I never owned it, and got the PS2 right when it launched. But there were certain games it had that I was always jealous of that I didn't have access to - Sonic adventure, crazy taxi, power Stone, code Veronica, shenmue, skies of Arcadia. I always thought it was a really cool machine though. I've never heard a bad thing about it though from those that had it.
No, Dreamcast was ahead of it's time and most still have very fond memories of it that had one. It also had some good games on it even in it's short lifespan. Xbox has none of these qualities.
The only thing he had going for him early on was that his name wasn't Don Mattrick. The Xbox community needed a figurehead that played the part of a gamer for the gamers, and he fit that spot for a little while. Outside of that, his accomplishments are virtually zero.
Just let me walk around Fisherman's Horizon and Esthar. And the Garden battle was cool, but I also really like the scramble to stop the missiles from launching across the world then getting the Garden airborne to avoid them.
