Haven't played re7 yet, so can't say for sure that it's a complete departure from the older games. I'm willing to give it a shot though.

I see your point as an early adopter, it's probably been along few years as a Nintendo fan. For me, I bought my brother's used wii u just a year or so ago, so all the games have been ready to digest at my pace, and I just have to wait a short time for Zelda. I love the Wii u as my secondary console to the ps4.

Nintendo is a Japanese company. I don't think the Japanese are so obsessed with diversity like the West is.
Though I've always agreed Reggie needs to go. But even if he is president of Nintendo of America, it's not like he has a say in much of anything.
So why are so many "mourning" the loss of this game as this article is trying to?
I've honestly only heard of this game when it was announced and practically nothing else. I had no idea that it was really something on so many people's radar.
The problem is they've shown so little of this game no one really has a clue. From the little they've shown, it seems to be a much more open, exploration focused game, and a less strategic team command, cover based system of combat. Though it could be that's just what's been shown. In my opinion, this is a pretty big departure, and I'd be skeptical. But do your own research and form your own opinion.

Obviously people complain that Revus deserved more explanation to his death and true motivations. If you're paying attention his story is told through radio broadcasts and his journal you find around his dead body. But I don't feel his story lines up with his motivations in Kingsglaive.

I'll give you some advice - if you're wanting a plug and play Raspberry Pi, get the gaming kit from Amazon or just build your own. The kit is $85 and it comes with two Buffalo SNES controllers - way better quality than the one controller posted in that link. It does not come with ROMS pre-installed though, so you would have to get those yourself, but it's an easy job to transfer them to the Pi.
