i'm not making the assumption, but i find it odd that ms or anybody else seems to be even announcing new games for the 360 for next year. i don't think this means the end of the system, but, you have to at least concede that it's strange.

it's a good price. 60$ isn't too much too see what it can do.
i don't care what system i own, if it broke more than once, i'm going with another system. all the people who stick with one company after a product continually malfunctions aren't very bright.

i've been interested in this game since i first heard about it, but i really don't like the idea of multiple discs. maybe.

nobody knows what kind of picture this player will put out. once the unit is out, then this thread will be meaningful. until then, no sense talking about it. also, as some have said, anyone who thinks sony will just sit and let this happen without some kind of response doesn't understand business. looks like all sorts of interesting things will be happening this holiday season.
unless devs will use multiple discs, the 360 won't be producing anything better than what comes out this year. not bad, but it doesn't allow for the games to grow and get even better.
the bigger question coming soon is "what ISN'T possible on DVD9? that is the bigger problem for 360
funny, i'm still waiting for a first party exclusive that makes me want an xbox. i've played them on my buddys xbox and 360 but i'm not impressed. halo, gears,bioshock are all ok, but don't make me want the system. wanting a system and the first party games it has just comes down to preference. there is no absolut right or wrong. there are other games they (xbox) have i like but they are cross-platform. and what are you smoking? there are huge cinamatic cut-scenes that have been talked about ...
why do people install 15,000$ surround sound systems in their homes? because they're into sound. i don't understand it either.
the comparison with bioshock really is a good one because they are 2 different genres. like comparing ratchet to killzone. comparing it to GOW would be closer.

yea, the whole game seems kind of sloppy. COD4 is looking better and better all the time.

if what you say is true, then why has microsoft been talking up halo 3, mass effect,too human,bioshock,PGR4 for the last 1.5 to 2 years? they do this for these games but have just said "we will wait for '08 to talk about any new games." that doesn't make sense.
