People always complain about gaming having to cater to the lowest demoninator - do we really want to be insisting our games run on practically no HHD space?
It was already the case for Halo 4 co-op/MP - and that's first party. (And BF3)

My roommate and I are both playing GTAV (X360) on two large TVs side-by-side. His is a 47" LG LCD, mine a 50" Samsung Plasma. (both 1080p)
His is so much more vibrant, with tons more of aliasing. While my makes everything looked washed out, almost as if it has more AA.
We both comment on how different each others looks when we are watching one another.
It's no wonder people can nitpic...
The extra detail on X1 simply can't be from mere contrast settings.

I loath jaggies. lol - but I have my fingers crossed that the X1 w/t the jaggies will still be a vast improvement on current gen and the BF3 jaggies.
I'm the same. I tend to liking the X1 sharpness, but I also realize that there is a load of jaggies in result. And fyi, I loath jaggies.
I also hope that being on next-gen consoles, the ammount of jaggies in the X1 version may be less than we're already used to with say BF3.
A solid idea. Another would to only show the platform after the poll has been completed.

EDIT: from what I could load, DF made the XO look darker, more constrast, to make it appear closer to PS4 - is this correct?

I have gone and demo'd both systems. Xbox One at FutureShop, and PS4 at the Sony Store.
BOTH SYSTEMS OS WAS OFF LIMITS.
I pressed the Playstation button on the PS4 - and guess what! - it took me back the a menu to select one of the other 5 demos, that's it. No OS.
Does no one understand the benefit of giving journalist early-product?
A company with an outstanding product stands to lose extremely little (the retail cost), and gain an incredible amount by giving journalist free consoles early.
The amount of publicity that usually comes from it is almost always far outweights the mere retail cost of the machine.

Let me explain how good companies view it.
People watch gaming journalism. Putting free consoles in those journalist hands tends to provide many positive impressions of thier product ending up in the ears of consumers. AKA making journalist happy, gives them more hyped consumers.
A company with a outstanding product stand very little to lose (the retail cost, in fact) and very, very much to gain - by putting their product in...
I'm quite sure Rev3 games would have zero problem getting a PS4 on Nov. 15th.
I beleive they are upset that they aren't being given one *early* - and that leaves them in quite the crunch, being forced to play&review games by the time that most other gaming journalist are posting their already written reviews.
For them it's like starting a lap behind.
That also leaves many people to speculate on why Sony has opted not to give a PS4 to one...
