@mikeslemonade
Lol everyone disagrees because nobody cares about your statement.
They have a second team but it's not like when they were working on Uncharted 3 and The last of us simultaniously. The second team is very small and almost the entire studio is working on Uncharted 4.

Besides that, Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley were brainstorming about The last of us 2 and maybe a new franchise until they were...
The cuh1200 runs cooler, yes. But that is not because of a smaller APU. Digital foundry writes in their review that it is the same 28nm APU used in earlier PS4 models.
http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
A smaller APU is key to make the PS4 smaller because it is the main producer of heat. Obviously when they take out the power supply they could ...
I think it mostly depends on AMD. If they can mass produce a smaller APU (smaller than 28nm that is) and yields and reliability are high enough for Sony, they might be able to design a PS4 slim.
After that it's all about return on investment for Sony. Production/transport/strorage costs will drop so the timing has to be right.
My best guess for a PS4 slim is either september 2016 or september 2017. Right before the holiday season is the best time to introduce a slim cons...
PS4 december victory has been confirmed by NPD already so no doubts there. NPD never gives numbers (companies have to pay for that) but rumors/leaks have the PS4 at 1.58 million and Xbone at 1.37 million for december.
But yes, VG chartz numbers always have a margin of error in them. And only the fanboys have those double standards so calm down.
Edit: Looks like vgc waited for NPD to come out cause those numbers are spot on compared to those rumored/leaked numbers.
I like your optimism but I'm a little more sceptical. 160 million (PS2 came close to that) is an immense number. No other console has come even close to that number (I consider the DS a handheld).
I think it's safe to say that the PS4 will make it to the hundred million mark but I don't think it will have the long legs that the PS2 had.
I've grown up but I absolutely don't want GTA to get more serious. I like the satire and the over exaggerated characters and I'm happy they went back to that with GTA V.
With IV everything was too serious, dark and too realistic. Especially the free roaming part was ruined for me because of the realistic driving, I like to do crazy stuff when I'm not on missions but there was no fun in that anymore. That made it the most boring GTA in the franchise for me.
Don't get me wrong, this is a genuine question. And ofcourse you're entitled to your opinion. But what do you think good gameplay is then?
I mean almost every game in any genre has typical gameplay, that's why it's in that genre. If every game has redefining gameplay, people would complain things change too fast or they don't relate to previous games anymore.
I just don't understand why this is a bad thing for a game like The Last of Us. The game has ...
What are you talking about? I rewatched the trailer and everything that happened there can happen in the game. They just put some scripted stuff in there so you can see the possibilities of the game. I'm happy it doesn't play out like this everytime you come through this section because then there would be no replay value.
And "gameplay"? Seriously? In the video you see a guy on stage playing the game. And you call that "gameplay"? What is real gam...
@Death
I wouldn't say comparing sales to a competitor is irrelevant. If your competitors market share gets to big you're going to have a hard time staying competitive in the market. I'm not saying that's happening to the Xbone right now because sales have been good enough so far to stay competitive, but it's definitely not irrelevant.
@Freedomland
The size of the screen has no impact on performance, the resolution has. In this case the iphone 6 has 1334x750 and the PS4 runs on 1080p. So yes, the PS4 needs to have more power to run this game. But there are enough high end android phones that have 1440p screens. The fact that those screens are small makes no difference.
Imagine the life you have when you're a pc gamer and you want Xbox Live and PSN taken down. I'm sure they'll open an extra can of energy drink in their parents basement to celebrate when it actually happens.
Totally agree with you. The thing is, the vast majority of console buyers don't even know about frames per second, resolution and all that technical stuff. They just want a console that works well.
They see a game on PS4/Xbone and think, wow that looks much better than the old consoles, I got to play this. When a console is technically advanced but too expensive, most people just don't want to pay that price.
@Death
Fans from both sides do the same thing. Last gen when 360 was ahead, fans bragged about it as well. Don't try to make it look like PlayStation fans are the only ones doing this.
But if you don't care than why did you come up with that non argument in the first place?
@Death
Oh God here comes the amount of countries argument again. This gen PS4 is outselling Xbone in every major country, last gen 360 only took the US and UK.
Now you might want to read this cause this is really interesting: According to vgchartz (I use them as an indication even though they have a margin of error in their sales numbers) a whopping 69% of Xbones worldwide sales come from the US and the UK. In Europe 49% of total sales come from the UK alone....
I can see the headlines this time around next year: Sony might have sold 55 million but is Microsoft's console due a comeback?
Agreed, I started playing COD 4 on my PS3 again a couple of weeks ago. Once you get into a game without hackers, it's sooo much fun. And so much better than anything that came after it.
Too bad that many games are hacked though.
@animalia
So you get to this conclusion after your little survey from a few fanboys? Seriously? I say agiain, Seriously?
Like you say, don't fool yourself. And get yourself a class in statistics and reliable sources. Thank you.
We still have to see if the Xbox brand can expand every generation like you say, because this generation is far from over.
I think the Xbone will not be able to keep up with the 360 on the long run. MS has created an environment where people have come to expect deals, discounts and free games every couple of months. This means that base demand for the console is not as high as it might look.
Other than that, the 360 was by far the popular console in the US la...
@bruce755
I don't get that either. Naughty Dog's storytelling and character building are imo the best the industry has to offer. It just doesn't allow for the game to be open world because Naughty Dog wants to tell you their story in a very specific way and with the exact right pacing.
