Treyarch snow maps are good, IW snow maps are terrible, dull and washed-out crap.

No, actually you are wrong it isn't.

MW3 had 16 maps from the get-go.

14 is a good amount, and remember it isn't about quantity, it is about quality.

MW3 has 16 maps, but half suck ass.

I wish people would stop repeating this lag free things with the Game Pad.

They are not saying it is lag free in terms of the display - they are saying that transferring data from the console to the Game Pad is done so with zero lag.

Totally different things.

And hardly anything groundbreaking. It was quite an Apple-esque marketing spin they played with that one.

ha, dream on, phones stalled on 1gb for ages and only now are we starting to see 2gb.

We won't see 8gb in phones for a very long time. There isn't the need for it.

I see the 8/16 split as perhaps Sony seeing what people can do with the extra RAM, and seeing if there is a case for putting in 8gb over 4gb. Remember dev kits have double the RAM.

Before Sony bought Gaikai, Gaikai had already got themselves going Samsung TVs.

http://www.engadget.com/201...

Be interesting to see what becomes of that now, given Sony make TVs.

I wonder if they (Samsung) will reach out to OnLive?

@EVILDEAD360

Windows 8 is not housed within IEB... an operating system is hardly 'entertainment'.

Services within Windows 8 (ie. Xbox Music etc) are, but not Windows 8 itself. That has its own department.

Quite correct.

Market saturation has occured/is occuring.

Thus, they need the next-gen to make sure their revenues do not continue to fall.

So the original commenter is quite correct.

Or phone.

Mobile phone games on my TV! Yeah... can't wait...

Not.

It would be down to IW, not Activision.

Activision will pay them an advance, and IW will make the game.

What or how they decide to do that is up to them.

Activision may give them certain deliverables but ultimately, it is IW's call on the engine.

That is a fair comment about ZombiU, when I said paused I kind of more meant you're no longer playing the 'actual' game, you're taking time out from looking at the big screen to look at a small screen.

I fail to see the difference.

To be something useful it needs to compliment what is on the big screen, not offer an alternative viewing output.

Oh, indeed SilentNegotiator.

It does make me laugh when people say this Game Pad device will be so amazing with all the new gameplay experiences it will provide.

A Game Pad is exactly what is _not_ needed for most types of games.

You cannot look away from the screen for a split second in COD without getting shot at, so why do people think it will be handy to look down and see the map or use their kill streak?

Just look at the...

HA effing HA!

And there we were. The minority, posting on the other article saying not to get carried away, it might likely be upscaled to 1080p and there the majority were, all the Nintendo fan boys saying no it is native and disagreeing to all of our minority comments.

And what happens? As usual the down voted comments end up being correct.

Which is what I'm saying.

I have a PS3, and I love it. I'm no fan boy like the rest of you, but please open your eyes.

I did not say:
- it will be terrible
- it will be incomplete
- it will be buggy on release

I am saying:
- it will offer little, if any new things at launch
- appears to only be initially a re-skin

They have spun it so it seems more amazing than what they're ...

4875d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Is it? I don't think so.

I mean sure good that they're going to add new things but I read it as: 'we're no where near finished with this, so we're gonna release it soon, as it is, and then add bits once its out there'.

Why not release a new product with the bells and whistles, rather than without.

As awesome as the re-skin looks, if all they do is release it as a re-skin, what is the point, and why has it taken so long...

Point 5 is incorrect, MW3 has been the most patched COD to date.

Mainly because there was so much wrong with it.

4879d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I did wonder this myself.

In their job postings they refer to the 360 as Xbox 360. No surprise there.

And in job postings where it hints at next-gen it will say you will be working on the XBOX console.

Now obviously if they were going to call it the Xboxinator, they wouldn't put Xboxinator on their job postings, as it would give the name away.

So you probably can't read too much into it, but none-the-less. In their jo...

Ah cool, it runs at 1080p like the PS3 and Xbox 360, then!

Not confirmed yet if it is native 1080p. Until then, please remain seated.

If it is native, then, excellent.

OK, now look at the pricing for outside the US and repeat that paragraph.

Tip: you can't.

4897d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yes, well - I wonder if you read those very same articles. Because it isn't just one price and bundle for the entire world.

Here is the situation in the UK.

Amazon sell the 'old' 160Gb Slim for £185.
HMV has said it will sell the new 12Gb Slim for £185.

That is less value. So it isn't more expensive, but you get far less for your money, so can be seen as being more expensive.

No bundled games...

4897d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

OK so... Amazon.co.uk, PS3 Slim 160Gb, £184.99.

Or I could get the 12Gb from HMV for just £184.99.

What a load of BS. Well done Sony. Well done.
