Correct - everyone seems to be missing this simple fact.
They're using up 4.6GB of RAM.
1.5GB seems excessive for the OS, I think. Especially given the dedicated chips for various functions.
I just think it is hilarious that they're using more memory for sound alone than the PS3 had in total!
They're using over 4GB of RAM.
If you look at the presentation slides they say they're using 3GB for GPU tasks, 1.5GB for CPU tasks and 128MB for shared functions.
So they're using around 4.6GB of RAM.
That is more than the rumoured 4GB dev kits would have 'allowed' and means you cannot deduce the system OS.
Fake.
- Wrong PSN logo (PlayStation isn't upper case any more)
- Face buttons in the wrong order (should be triangle, circle, X, square)
- PS4 doesn't have CD playback so no need for CD logo
Fake. Uses old PSN logo at the end.
PlayStation is no longer in upper case on the PSN logo.
Doubt it. I mean that logo is plastered all over marketing material for games announced, Watch Dogs etc.
On this guy's logo concepts, the 'open' style makes it look like 'psy' not PS4.
Angled is better.
How is it misleading?
Headline says they haven't seen any money, and so does the article.
Just because there are other additional comments in the article doesn't make it misleading.
It is you who are assuming the article is negative based on just the headline alone and then reading the entire article and seeing it turns out it isn't negative news. You do know how headlines work right? You can't put the entire story in it... <...
They did increase development budget. That is why Nevasoft now work on COD.
IW also had a relatively large recruitment drive and moved to larger (more expensive) offices.
So they have increased expenditure in other areas.
Using extremes to highlight my point, it matters not if you spend $1 or $1 billion on your game.
You could spend $100 million here, $10 million there. It doesn't mean it will be a better game.
...
We already got this for free...
I guess people were thinking it might show test data for actual games so checked it out, realised it didn't then left without leaving a comment!
The source of this is from a Sony video - so they were promoting the PS4 game.
They're not going to talk about what you can do on PC and an unannounced Xbox console in a Sony PlayStation video.
Also - this is just INTERACTING with the game. You cannot PLAY the game on your mobile device in the sense of how you play the game on console.
It is just a companion app that has great control over the game.
It does - it is incorrect.

They were registered in 2004. So yeah, apparently they thought it would be a good idea to secure the domains for their 3rd console nearly 10 years before releasing it and 2 years before releasing their 2nd console...
Especially one registered in 2004, years before the 360 was released.
Why is everyone ignoring the simple fact that they bought these domains in 2004, before the 360 has it's name?
Do people honestly think they decided on the 3rd Xbox's name before they even had the 2nd Xbox's name?
For consumer or business?
I found it odd that MS did it so far into the current cycle when most people would have already bought a console.
I can't see many people ditching their PS3 to spend a load of money on a 360 just to get COD DLC earlier.
However at the start of a generation it could be a very, very big decision maker for many people.
If you're looking at the consoles and thinking 'they're quite similar...
This article is from July 2012.
They're busy regressing all those always-online check-ins.
Yeah but this also includes 360 and PS3.
Hence you see Beyond.
Hopefully it isn't a sign that MS is going to drop all knowledge of the 360 like they did with the original Xbox.
My thoughts entirely, nice of them to at least give Xbox a colour despite no entries :D
Don't forget it was using 3GB for GPU tasks only.
In addition it was using 1.5GB for CPU tasks and 128MB for shared tasks.
So in total it was using around 4.6GB of RAM.
