I agree. I don't know why FFX is held in such high regard. I loved all the older ones, but FFX, while not 'bad', just left me bored. It did have amazing graphics though.
My theory is, and always has been that FFX was so popular as it was the first FF on the PS2, and the most popular. I think that the older gen cherish FFV, VI and VII, while this new generation wanted to have 'their' game.

Yes, Sony has lot's of patents, and they do innovate. I was talking about in general though, that even patents derivefrom existing technologies, and combining them. My whole comment was to point out the stupidity in the whole "simpsons did it" when they both are using technolgies invented by neither of them.

So let me get this straight. Sony copied Steven Sasson, who invented the digital camera, with 'eye toy', then Microsoft copied Eye toy with Kinect, and the Sony copied Kinect with PS Eye toy 2??
FFS, fanboys need to grow up. They are improving on existing tech. Microsoft and Sony don't really invent many things, they just use existing tech and combine it with other tech, and use them in new ways.
Like the Kinect, I hope there is an option to buy ...
Well, I'm glad to say that when these tactics are being used for basically every game in the future, that I supported none lf them. Also, I bet those same people who gave money to these dirty tactics will jump on the 'angry mob' side, even though they were originally defending it. Online passes have already transitioned into single-player locked content passes.

Prefer it to be a next-gen game tbh. Also, when does it come out for the PS4? I just want a straight answer. The dates have never been set in stone. Why would you pay to have a timed exclusive game? Seems stupid. Can't wait for more news on it in the next few weeks though.
In hindsight, I don't know what I'd change about it. It was amazing, as the story was so great, and it FORCED me to play it again, so I could choose the 'other side'. It was that good.

The issue isn't some childish "he started it", just the fact Sony and Microsoft always do this. It is purely a business decision, which negatively effects gamers.
No, they are just people. Especially these days, it doesn't seem that hard to review a game on your no-name website. If you think that there are no console fanboys, or just fanboys in general (i.e someone loves command and conquer and hates Starcraft, they will give bad review to starcraft etc).
Game reviews have always been dodgy anyway. They have been caught out before. The only way these sites is through advertising, so if they give Mr Activision, Mr EA etc. A bad revi...

Some of these awards were stupid, just stupid. A game like Mass Effect winning best RPG is unfair to the primarily RPG based games. So basically, if your game is an RPG, Hack n slash, action, adventure, horror, racing, online multiplayer simulator all in one, it can win limitless awards.
Stupid, some games should just be put into the category they belong in. Is visual engineering best graphics? If so, how the f*** did CoD get nominated lol?
I actually said this a while back. It will be weird when tne ne/t GoW becom es R18+, when you are used to it always being MA15+. Luckily every other state gets it, so it is easily avoided.

Really, I am not to fussed with these comparisons. A lot of pointless speculation. All I know is that the transition from PS3/360 to PS4/720 will be amazing.
