I thought quite a few places in Halo 4 were influenced by Metroid, so if a new one looks anything like those parts in Halo 4, I'd be extremely happy. This could very well be a 'halo killer', if it has awesome MP online. When I say 'halo killer', I mean it as in something that can rival Halo, with its huge fanbase for SP and MP. I am in no way suggesting Halo fans (such as myself) would 'jump ship' so-to-speak.

You are correct, it is not in 'direct' competition, as one is on a handheld and one is on a home console. However, there will definitely be many people who are fans of both, and might opt to pick up GTAV instead.
Also, the most damaging of all the factors is that the media hype/frenzy around GTAV will overshadow Killzone,'and many people buy what is the most popular thing. Sad but true.

I agree. It would be might convenient. It doesn't bother me so much, as I have an original PS3 (hardly play it, trying to keep it fresh, PS1 and PS2 games only), and I have my slim which I play on. Having 3 consoles when the PS4 comes out would be a pain. If they have PS3 compatibility, I'll be very happy, as that means I only eed my PS3 Fat and the PS4 (I can give the slim to a homeless guy or something'lol.....damn they don't have tv's).

The only thing I can think of is to launch at around the same time as the new Xbox. They have the library already, maybe just improve the online (which, cross-game party chat will be standard anyway). They already said PS+ will continue, so that is already good news.

Actually, CoD is the biggest game of the year lol. Are people forgetting one comes out every year? Not a fan of GTA anyway, always thought it took itself too seriously and was boring, but killzone is a must buy.

After the amount of kills that get stolen from me in Gears, I say down but not outs can f*** off. I kill more people than they kill me, so it doesn't bother me. Some people just troll and steal kills the whole game.
I would prefer them to keep DBNO, but have it so that the person who got them down can kill them only. That is more fair, sorta 1on1. Overrun should be fun so will the campaign. The MP I will reserve......Judgment??? :-)

I agree. But you have to factor in that if they target 60FPS and 1080p (minumum), it will be beatiful, but not as big a leap. It will certainly mean games will play better, and then CoD loses its 60FPS selling point, when it has become standard.
Of course, some devs will maybe do 720p, 30FPS to push graphical capabilities to the max. I'd assume quite a few will be doing 30FPS, but maybe target in-between 720p-1080p.
Hopefully for the single player. The dlc will most likely be for the MP though, as it is a big focus for them, the left4dead style mode. A prequel DLC playing as Ripley right near the end of Aliens would be to good to be true, so I'll cancel that one out. Hoping this will be great.
Gears 1 was gaming nirvana. Dark, gritty shotgun battles. Gears 2, I will not defend. Released as a broken, laggy mess that took a few title updates to fix (6 last time I checked).
