To who's standards? HD is HD, its not like there releasing games that aren't in HD, then I would agree with you. Iv played the Beta on both PC and X1 and yes the PC looks better but it also looks better then the PS4. They all play the same which is the main thing.
Not really because these days HD is HD and 60 frames is 60 frames. If you played Bayonetta on PS3 you will clearly see that there's more then just simple resolution gaps which is the only difference between games this gen.
In other words last gen games actually struggled hard at times which affected gameplay (Bayonetta, DMC etc). If you played any game on XB1 or PS4 they offer the exact same experiences with one running slightly better resolution or frame rate.
Apart from the resolution difference, both games look the same. DF even stated

And there spot on. Still a PC purchase for me.
I think Uncharted owes Tomb Raider a big thank you. If it wasn't for the TR Franchise Uncharted wouldn't exist where as TR still would exist, maybe not the same gameplay mechanics but it would still be a game/movie franchise. Guess you could say if it wasn't for Indiana Jones TR wouldn't exist and so on and so on.
Either way TR doesn't owe anything to anyone. Its a stand alone franchise which has been successful way before ND were making good games.
Halo is a prime example of how games and bundles should be done. Not only does it offer many great accessories but the game only offers a campaign and multiplayer that can last you months on end.

Who honestly cares, I won't be thinking about sales when im playing Halo 5.
These games are nothing alike apart from the fact there multiplayer shooters.
It has me wondering how good Battlefront would look if they went for 30 frames? Doubling the visuals that's already on display right now is mind blowing.
I am glad they went for 60 frames, being a full multiplayer focus game its the best choice. Consoles are going to have trouble keeping up now. These new engines are hardware destroyers. Battlefront is definitely one of the best looking games iv seen this gen.

Funny you say that when many UC fans claimed the Tomb Raider Reboot was actually better then UC1 and 3 even myself and my friends said the same thing. These games are a lot closer in terms of quality then you think. TR is definitely no push over and I'm looking forward to playing UC4 next year and finishing TR this year.
I am not really interested in neither, so honestly I wouldn't care. Both games are on separate scales of history. Bad comparison.
The problem with he current fanboys is they don't understand what the term Winning really means. I see the term Winning and losing a lot on these articles. There's a much bigger picture for winning then just selling more then your opposition. Let me give you an example.

And you forget Wolfenstein, Fallout 4, Thief, Killzone, Destiny and R6. There's plenty FPS games on the market, I find there are more FPS games then anything else :)

Xbox doesn't have to beat PlayStation, it just has to be successful with a healthy community which is has. X1 is leading in Xbox history and it goes to show that sales don't mean anything because X1 exclusives and new IPs aren't slowing down, this is a good indication of how healthy Xbox division is. Halo 4 sits on a 87 meta with 1 reviewer giving the game a 2/10 which is the same guy who trolled Forza Horizon 2 and also gave it a 2/10.
Halo 4 is rounded out to be a 9/10 game. Meta these days isn't what it use to be. Reviewers will do what ever it takes to get clicks. 343 are better then Bungie because I played Destiny and I prefer Halo 4.

Well being an online game means that it goes to who offers the better online experience and controls as well. Its not always about visuals. Having better visuals doesn't mean its a better overall game.
Halo 5 runs at 60 with dynamic resolution which means there are times its 1080p/60 and times it might be 900p/60 or reduced effects etc. Every game made reduces effects for 1080p/60. Just because a game is 1080p/60 doesn't mean its done with every effect on Ultra Turbo insane settings like a PC game would. Yes I'm talking on behalf of every game and console even the PS4.
Game looks fantastic and looks even better to play. Cant wait to try it out.
