Loner, that is really childish. many of those reviews actually put the game down because it never had damage... the problem being that it does have damage but you actually have to play it and get to level 20 before it appears. clearly many of the reviewers were very keen on scoring it low. as a gamer, and someone who has now reached level 41, i can assure you that GT5 deserved a lot better reviews, and i'm sure people who 'actually' play the game will agree
i often wonder whether articles like this are deliberately put together to take the edge off other games that are doing rather well review wise... LBP2 for instance. it can only backfire because it gives the GT5 community the opportunity to put the records straight and of course it promotes GT5 all over again
i was happy to wait and i'm happy with the GT5.
watch this space! i've seen every single experiment -- some great, some not so great -- and i've spoken to the community regularly. what we've seen so far is nothing. LBP2 isn't just a game or a creation tool, it's a way of obtaining games of all kinds for nothing.
it would be worth buying LBP2 even if you only ever used it to access these games. each will be categorised according to genre, so if you want a puzzler, type in puzzler and just like Flash, you...
i wonder if it's similar to the old shutter camera with flash thing. red eye in photos actually shows that the eye is normal, while if you should but don't get red eye, there is something wrong with your eyes and you should consult an optician.
i'd prefer it to have come from some other exec. i simply can't respect this guy regardless of who he works for
and this my friends is why a great singleplayer is essential for giving games a lengthy shelf life. focus too much on beefing a game up via online and this industry will stagnate
yeah, i'm a member there. everything you've seen there are only experiments because they knew the beta levels would be wiped. you'll see some pretty cool stuff in two weeks, but for the games that blow your mind, wait at least 3 months.
give it 3 months and people will be astonished. give it 6 months and jaws will drop. some people are still not quite grasping what is afoot here. this is a game to rival Flash.
it's really is sad the way 360 owners jump on articles like this because they can't do it in the LBP2 articles. why do you do it? MOVE is an alternative, nothing more and nothing less. it's just another way to play. can't you just enjoy playing Kinect and let PS3 owners enjoy playing MOVE?
i'd say MOVE has easily sold 6 million by now... not that far behind Kinect. so, just play your Eyetoy like games and we'll play our Wii like games. then all is bal...
agreed, he should have done more research. he can be forgiven in thinking this though because the game was promoted heavily on that side of things.
yeah, my bad. thanks
this is weird lol. i made a comment about this not an hour ago! did it inspire this article? and, yes, it is largely true. it's one of the biggest cons of this industry at the moment. those that like single player are getting cut down versions of games because the industry (reviewers and those with invested interests) are promoting it heavily.
i don't want to shoot, be shot, respawn, rinse and repeat, i want to be absorbed in a world that takes me away from the this ...
the best service for you is the service you use.
does this mean this DLC will be added to the PS3 version? or will the so called definitive version become not so definitive?
if they were disproportionately black, they'd complain about that too no doubt. unless they want all bad guys to be white and all good guys to be black...
yeah, fair enough. i'm just cynical about the way the West has narrowed the breadth of gameplay in RPGs. nowadays it seems that any game with any sort of upgrades can be called an RPG. i suppose i was spoiled by JRPGs, when the focus was on content, length and diversity, rather than bigger guns and gore
edit @below: i think Slient Knight 9 is talking specifically about this particular game and not suggesting that ALL RPGs should go this way. that said, it still makes me s...
i totally agree with that. Sony just astonish me with their lacklustre commercials. i don't know what it's like anywhere else, but here in the UK it's almost as if MOVE didn't happen and the few generic adverts for the device are uninspiring to say the least. the GT5 advert is just plain... well... boring
@below: a year ago i would have disagreed with that, but it really does look like that is exactly what Sony are doing.
i shudder when i read comments like this. less blood and gore please and more golf, fishing and other stuff that used to make RPGs a breath of fresh air.
thank you Nick!!! LBP2 is Sony's answer to Flash. all you need is the LBP2 and you have endless games to play. PSN just got it's most important contributor and this industry just got something extraordinary
if people want, they can now put aside the 'cute' and blow us away... although i'm a sucker for the cute myself :)
