to lose an exclusive japanese RPG this early on in your lifecycle doesn't auger well for the future. i doubt japanese devs want to make the same mistake they made with the consoles.
what? their polygons for Christ sake. these journalists should keep their sprites in their trousers
it's easy to complain as a gamer and type discontent as a consumer, but to be balanced one should put themselves in the position of Sony. be realistic here... if they didn't charge anything for the download this would be a devs nightmare. not only would the second hand market get even more fuel, it would effectively give people licence to print their own copies. can you imagine how many downloads just one game could generate?! seriously!
this solution isn't pretty...
it's called a BETA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
don't people get it? you're supposed to mention it to Sony so they can correct it. that's why it's called a BETA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's about time Sony stopped handing these out to the general public to test and just gave them to a select few. and i mean that because i'm really tired of people totally missing the point in a
BETTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is this ALL these articles concentrate on. I DON'T want cross game chat thank you. perhaps if they bang on about it long enough it'll convince people that it's the holy grail of online and so automatically place LIVE in top spot... oh wait...
don't be ashamed to admit it's too hard for you.
i agree that the score boards should be fixed but it is such a small thing compared with what the community is creating at the moment. you might like to check out Ladylyn's Coal Cart Calamity: http://lbp.me/v/6pqtre
this is just fantastic
to use his death in this way saddens me
what an interesting turn around of events. you know, i recall many a conversation (and i use that term loosely) on this here site, concerning a certain Sony product V the 360 and the PC. it went on for quite some time with those brave enough to question Carmack's opinion and always lead to fans of said Sony product being lambasted and with Carmack being held aloft as the ultimate proof that the PS3 wasn't all it was cracked up to be... 'he should know!', 'he's a genius...
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you say that as if in some way Sony are copying the WiiU. you do realise that the PSP had a certain amount of that functionality?
the biggest mistake MS has made in both generations is relying (and so defining) there console with basically two games: Halo and Gears. although the press and fanboys are always all over the smaller sales of PS3 exclusives, we know that Sony has always stood for quality. i've seen many people consider which game Sony should take as a mascot and largely speaking most people agree it's Sackboy... but, that is defining the console and Sony never wanted that with the PS1 and the PS2 and ...
now that looks astonishing
oh dear lord! i stand corrected sir, that is a problem. ignore my previous remarks they were born out of ignorance and an inability to read
why are you so concerned? 20gb is three DVDs worth of game and for a handheld, that will be sufficient to say the least. most games on the 360 clock in at around 7GB and most multiplats do too. 20GB is Blu-ray good. i'm more than satisfied
don't get me wrong, i think the 360 is a great console, it's just the negativity that the press continue to spout. you can almost hear their teeth grinding in anticipation of watching Sony fail (a japanese company) they've even managed to brainwash a whole generation into believing the west is better at making games. i don't agree because the so called standards are dictated by the west and as a true gamer, i still prefer the imagination of the japanese to that of the west
i wonder how long these articles will carry on for. Sony has hit their sales every year since launch and actually upped them from their initial projections for the last two years. the gap has moved from 8 million to 3 million... and yet, it's an uphill struggle for the console that is now sitting at well over 3 million ahead in Europe even though it released 16 months later, and in Japan, out of all three consoles, the PS3 has hit the top for quite some time now. Japan is taken, Europe is...
no way can this be a coincidence. note wise, yes, there is an outside chance that you may well accidentally come up with a similar idea and construction, but the sounds and instruments give this away as a complete copy
well this guy should know what he's talking about. out of all the devs out there, he's the one who's pushed the present day consoles to their limits
with 100 million accounts, that's a very small number, but nevertheless, the recent news of the 360 getting hacked also will soon be buried (as indeed it was anyway) beneath a deluge of sad fanboys eager for any crumb of hope that comes their way
