Nope. The switch has its place, and plays towards nintendos strengths. Their games dont need a ton of graphical horsepower, and the systems are geared more towards a younger audience that would appreciate the portable aspect of the system. However, if this were the norm, they would actually be holding back the industry. As you can see, some of the more graphically intense games wont work on switch without serious compromises. Sorry. It's a secondary system only.
All the digital storefronts have crappy policies. Digital, in general, is a joke. Dont say one is better than the other, because they all have something wrong with them. For those that want all digital, good luck. Me, if they dont offer physical, then I will do buisness elsewhere.
@crimson, yeah, it is. especially since I have been gaming since 1983. It's a pastime I enjoy, but I really detest digital content. When I lost hundreds of dollars on PSP comics, because I cant download them anymore, nor can I get a refund, I realized how much control I really have with digital content.
I usually drop in and browse and buy from the used section. Interestingly, sometimes new is cheaper and I pick that up. Not sure where the problem is. When they ask all their questions, I just say "no, thank you", and I purchase my things and go. Easy. You social misfits need to learn how to find bargains and talk to people. I never have a problem at my gamestops.
In my experience, the genesis always had faster gameplay and had a grittier look to the graphics. When the snes came out a couple years later, the graphics and color palette was better, but gameplay was slower. The sound chip was better in the snes, but I always liked the synth tunes the genesis would pump out. There was a major difference in the hardware, so most of the same games would be completely different on the consoles. And before people say snes was better, just know that gun star he...
No refresher needed, I lived it. As I said earlier, it's the nes style with better animation. Of course it looks better than original NES, as it is a modernized homage, but definately not snes.
