I played the demo, and I loved it. 3d definately is not as good as some good old 2d, but I am excited to get this in my hands. Controls felt good, and felt just like an old school castlevania. Too bad they cancelled the vita version, as that would have been my platform of choice.
I like how the gaming media and the parrot gamers went from dismissal to about to eat crow. I didnt understand it, as it always looked great to me. Oh, well. I'll enjoy it.
The epic haters crack me up. The arguments for steam are so empty. Steam has been taking advantage of their monopoly over the PC gaming system for years, making devs Pay a huge percent to be on their store. And to the moron who keeps telling people to look up the definition of monopoly, here it is. "The exclusive possesion or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service." Sounds like what steam has been doing for years. Just like any other buisness, one option is no ...
I have learned to wait about a month after release to buy a game. Not only do I get all the down and dirty information about a game, I usually get 20 to 30 dollars off. For those that stream or review, well, good luck.
Good. It's a bully tactic. Period. The whiners on steam need to get over it. Theres going to be competition, and now people will understand why epic is doing the tactics they are doing to get a foothold.
In the trials of social media, its guilty until proven innocent, and an unfortunate casualty would have been Sega if they didnt do something. One of the reasons I despise social media.
Even if you dont agree with the tactics, someone needed to step up and challenge the status quo to break the monopoly. All the other companies were content with valve taking the lead position and devs had no choice but to give in to their demands to be on their store. Glad to see someone rewarding devs with a better slice of the pie. Even though it's not perfect, the PC scene for devs may get better because of this.
