As a backer, I'm getting what was promised to me, which is a ps4 version on a physical disc. Although it would be a nice surprise to get the dlc, none of that was promised at the time of backing. I backed it because I wanted shenmue 3 to become a reality. And that is happening. Steam guys have some issues to deal with, but, as far as I'm concerned, I cant wait for this game.
As an old gamer, I dont find it awkward. I used to go to import game stores all the time. I used to love finding cool Japanese games not released here. I pre ordered mine as soon as it was up.
For now, it can get sub par ports of modern games, great exclusives, and good ports of previous gen games. Once ps5 and the new xbone hit, that's it for the switch. They better double down on Mario, zelda and pokemon.
I mean, by that point, the ps5 will drop, and if it has backwards compatitbility, why would anyone get a ps4? I know, there will be some stragglers and cheapskates still purchasing it, but it wont carry it into the millions.
It's possible. Ps4 is pulling the plug already, so sales will pass 100 million, but not much beyond that. Still fantastic for a dedicated home console.
Those games are great, but an example is mass effect andromeda. A 30 hour game turned into 100 if you do everything. Most of the time is traveling between worlds. But people expected it to be 100 hour plus game. Theres alot of artificial bloating in modern games like that.
I appreciate the bang for the buck theory, but not every game should be 100 hour epics. Especially the artificially bloated games, like open world or grindy rpgs.
I can see why they wouldn't want to split dev time between two devices. If the handheld was not a wild success out of the gate, it would cost time and money. I appreciate that they did bring out the vita though. I have an amazing physical collection and a great retro machine. The vita TV is also a great device.
Still got a few more games to wrap up the vita collection. It had a great run and had some great gems come out. I'll pick this up when released. Too bad it wont have a physical copy.
I have an old 2014 Asus rog that is still great to this day. It is starting to show its age, but is still a great laptop. Got it for 1000 bucks, and got my moneys worth long ago. Will probably go with something similar in a year or two.
