Are 12 year olds allowed to write game journalism articles now? Seriously, this article really is written in the style of a young child writing a story for his teacher.
Game cost is relatively the same digitally. If you dont buy on day 1, you can get killer deals physical or digitally. The cost of the online access for multiplayer does suck big time though. But usually the perks can offset the cost. Still hate that though.
I had an old NEC monitor in the 90s I would play Saturn and dreamcast on. It was only like 14 inches but was really awesome for my games. However, I would not trade it for my 65". Anyone saying that is crazy.
That's awesome. They are very few and far between where I am at, and the games are usually upgraded mobile games. Lol. The arcade scene is now mostly ticket machines and a few newer releases, but nothing like before.
Gaming in the 80s was even more wild. Arcades were still happening in the 90s, but nothing will top going to a corner store, or a 7 11, and seeing the latest machines out. Bowling alleys, pizza parlors, and dedicated arcades were treasures for new arcade releases. The mid 90s started to blur the home and arcade scene, and eventually surpassed the arcades. Very sad times for an old school gamer.
Reviews for this will probably be mixed because it wont be ultra accessible. I can see the media and forum trolls having a field day if this gets less than a 10. Either way, it's going to have a place in my collection. Cant wait.
It's a step in the right direction. The new studio acquisitions are a good start, but will take time to pay off. They have a long road to travel. However, with their focus being subs and services, who knows?
Valkyrie chronicles, created great games in partnership with platinum, opened itself up to PC platform, acquired atlus, brought back the genesis with the mini, let shenmue and bayonetta continue on, has projects in different media, and is continuing to improve the brand. It's been a long road, but I enjoy where Sega is heading.
