It's my little jrpg machine. It's cool that people don't like it. I love the games on there and I have used it more than any console I've owned, going back to the Atari.
When I was a kid, I would buy video game magazines, and all video games were announced early. Seeing the progress and imagining what kind of game it would be got my creative side flowing. It would kick in my imagination and I would draw or crate things similar to what I thought was great. That's why I think it's great. I think it's great. Fans love to see the progress of something that they may enjoy. The only people that hate it are people that enjoy yearly releases, or that don't get any games. This industry has been doing this from the beginning.
I got this game when it first came out. the reviews were great, but it was tanking. there were 4 things that made it underperform.

2. platinum games was relatively unknown at the time, and most gamers were into cod and the like, and with no multiplayer, people didn't give it a chance.
3. one of the dumbest complaints was that people didn't want ...
when I had my original xbox, this was one of the games I always looked at buying but never picked up. it looked interesting at the time, but never really compelled me to buy it. looking at gameplay, it still doesn't make me want to play it. this is a missed opportunity from Microsoft to make it into a compelling purchase for new users. I know people hated anarchy reigns, but the multiplayer was so much fun in that game. that's what I could envision a new phantom dust being. oh well.
