You do realize that microsoft have had already invested billions of dollars into their cloud services before sony even got involved, right? Sony merely bought an established company and built on it. Microsoft has created the service wholly in-house and dates years back. It was just a matter of the two companies deciding when to reveal their two respective services.
And microsoft's service will apparently stream your xbox games to your smartphones and pc's, which co...
@abzdine
It amazes me how you have 7 bubbles with comments like that..
Maybe instead of focusing so much on what name ms are rumored to give their service, perhaps it'd be more constructive to actually talk about the service, no?
Honestly, I feel that if ms can get xbox games streamed onto smartphones and pc's with their service, that'd be really cool and convenient.
This game is just beautiful and timeless. I don't think I can ever get tired of playing any zelda game over and over again.
I was so excited for this game....and then came the subscription fees..
I just can't be excited for anything they show now, but the game still looks great.
I still can't believe we're going to get this for free.
I'd happily pay for this creation game.
You might want to look up on microsoft's charity and good-will work microsoft does regarding education, student affairs, and donations before making such an accusation.
The more I see this game, the more I'm liking DH. They've really stepped into something that they seem to excel in.
mr pachter, one console is 100 dollars cheaper than the other. It isn't too difficult to make this prediction..
I'll take uncharted, halo, the last of us, zelda and whole bunch of other console exclusives over any steamOS-exclusive anyday. I don't care if it's half-life 3 that is steamos exclusive.
Even if it does gain exclusives, most of those will probably not amount to much, aside from valve's own creations, but I doubt valve would want to make their games steamOS exclusive as they would lose a huge number of sales that would come from windows, mac, and consoles.
I don't care what they think. They're game developers and they probably obviously receive revenue from steam's distribution of their games, so of course they're going to support them. I'm simply stating my viewpoint.
I imagine that steamOS will end up like ouya. Highly hyped, yet will fall short of expectations. I'd rather valve just make more games. This idea feels rather pointless, imo. If you've got a powerful pc and all of your games ru...
I wouldn't say it's a downgrade. More of a downgrade in one department to make the overall game more balanced and look better in all departments rather than focusing it all on one aspect.
So, what you see as just a downgrade in one department, I see it as giving into something more fluid that allows all aspects of the game to be shown off.
from the article: "Note: the newer screenshot comes from a livestream, so it’s a bit more blurry."
The new build looks better, imo.
Well, I'm glad that the reduce character polygon count helped out everything else.
It definitely does look better now.
I honestly still do not see anything significant or game-changing in valve's announcements.
I'd still rather use my high-end windows-based pc and laptop to get both work done and play my games on the same machines.
I still question who exactly the steamos and machines are trying to target.
For some reason, that font reminds me of Fable.
if you're going by that logic, then you might as well dump your e-mail, search engines, stay off the internet, dump your smartphone or anything with a camera with wi-fi access, dump your laptop/pc that has a cam, etc.
You get the point?
7.8? That's just ridiculous.
Name sounds fine to me.
I don't know what the fuss is over, honestly.
If a name like Azure can attrac billions of dollars worth of business for microsoft, then I'm sure 'Rio' will do just fine as the latter term is, in my opinion, more recognizable about the globe.
