Trust eroded so bad that the entire console stock sold out in minutes!!
How people can write such nonsense is beyond me.
Yea, people here are delusional. The millions upon millions of casual gamers aren't going to suddenly stop buying games because they're $10 more.
Agreed. Old ports for $60 that millions buy without question. Why not brand new games for $70?
Not saying I'm pleased to have to pay more, but it makes sense.
Cyberpunk 2077 not being on gamepass is a huge weak spot and a sign of things to come. A lot of major developers don't want their game sales being neutered by gamepass. Microsoft is going to have to figure something out.
Nah, it's not. I can OWN my games for cheap when a sale goes up. Not pay a monthly fee where games I like leave at the end of the month and if I stop paying, bye bye all my games.
*up to 1440p. Not all games. Just like the PS5 can do *up to 8k. Obviously not all games are going to be in 8k.
Except big name developers are coming out and saying it's going to be worse than that. You people really need to stop believing Microsoft's PR speak.
You could have always made monthly payments by just using a credit card. How is this any different? This is still subject to a credit check, so if you don't have great credit, you're not going to pay by month anyway.
People don't care about the most powerful console, as we can see the Xbox One X got DEMOLISHED this gen by the ps4 and switch...even though it was the most powerful console.
People want good games. Sony and Nintendo seem to understand that.
A lot of us have been saying this and getting downvoted by the craigs/xbots.
Glad to see big name devs coming out and saying what we knew all along.
Those kids are going to be sad. I hope that's not the case.
Plus, they'd buy their kids a Switch before this. Switch is incredibly popular, especially with the younger generation. Parents will 100% buy the cheaper Switch than this weirdly gimped Xbox.
It's definitely not going to be the windfall of sales.
Xbox has had a cheaper option this gen, still got demolished. Xbox had the strongest console this gen, still got demolished. Xbox had gamepass this gen, still got demolished. Xbox lacked first party games (and still do), and got demolished.
I'd love to see where this magical sauce is that is going to make everyone switch over. This is nothing new for Xbox.
What? Take a look in the mirror before bringing up "logic."
It is an Xbox article. The user you replied to gave their thoughts on the Xbox. Logic checks out perfectly fine.
What is wrong with you?
Funny how everyone loves EA now when it's a pro Xbox thing lmao
This also makes no sense as EA games are notorious for becoming INCREDIBLY cheap after a few months. It really isn't a tough choice, you were just never a Sony fan.
The concern trolling seems to be a big tactic with the Xbots this time around. It's very easy to see through.
Exactly.
Why would I ever buy an Xbox when I have the definitive version of these games on my PC? Better graphics, better frame rates, better resolution, better everything. It makes literally no sense.
Even if I LOVE the upcoming Xbox exclusives - I will play the BEST versions of them on PC, not some weak console.
I really think Xbox should exit the console space and just be a service/platform and make games. That would be more exciting...
Except not all of Sony's games are coming to PC and EVERY xbox game is on PC.
Nice try, but a HUGE swing and a miss.
Exactly. I bought a 3 month Gamepass card and have had it sitting on my desk for MONTHS. I have not activated it yet because every time I scroll through the games on there, they are all old games I've beaten already.
The one time there was a newer game I wanted to play, it was due to leave the service at the end of the month. I don't like being rushed when I play my games...so I still didn't activate it.
I already spent the money on the activa...
It is an issue, as buying a 10TB SSD for extra storage is incredibly expensive. Might as well just buy a gaming PC for the definitive Xbox game experience at that point.
Exactly.
How was trust eroded when the entire pre order stock was sold out within minutes?
