I don't understand why people keep freaking out about this...
None of the people who made New Vegas are still a part of these companies. It would be made by entirely new people. New Vegas was so great because of its writers, designers, directors, etc. Every single one of those people are gone.
Except you can't really mod Xbox games on PC. That's my biggest worry.
Imagine thinking that buying Bugthesda makes you instantly win a gen lmao
Oh...k? Seems wildly irrelevant.
Sony by a landslide.
Bugthesda and Tod Howard are usually laughing stocks of the industry. Xbot fans are now acting like they're the greatest thing to ever happen to gaming lol definitely makes Xbox first party more interesting but nowhere close to the quality of Playstation.
You're comparing a gaming division to an entire company.
Sony's gaming division makes more money than Microsoft's gaming division.
Yes, there is. The rise of subscriptions and not owning what you pay for.
Everyone buying into the subscription model is ruining it for everyone who wants to actually own what they pay for.
Soon, we won't have the option because too many suckers made subscription-to-rent models popular.
CD Projekt Red must agree since they're not bringing Cyberpunk to Gamepass.
ah yes, let's just forget about Persona, Final Fantasy, CD Projekt Red, etc.
So will Xbox since games like Cyberpunk aren't coming to Gamepass.
You do know that the people who made Fallout New Vegas left a long time ago, right?
It wouldn't be the same people at all.
I'd much rather pay one price to own my game, that I can then keep, let someone borrow or trade in for money...rather than pay a recurring monthly fee to play a game I don't own that can be gone at the end of the month.
Won't be exclusive. They bought Minecraft and that never went exclusive. Pete Hines already said Bethesda games are going to keep being published by Bethesda, not Microsoft. So no, they won't be exclusive. This is just making money.
Selling out your entire stock in literal seconds is a bungle? Lmaoooo
The desperation is so obvious.
Pay to actually own the game or pay a recurring monthly fee to not own it and it can be gone any month?
I know which one I want.
Which games?
Gamepass is so overhyped - mostly games I've played and/or beaten already, games I want to play leaving at the end of the month, no ownership of any games, and huge titles like Cyberpunk not coming to gamepass.
If you're broke and brand new to video games then sure...but for most....it's decent at best.
I have a top of the line gaming rig and am still hyped for ps5. Playstation has some of the best games that you cannot play on PC.
Why does it look so empty?
What? No, that would be horrible.
2 first party titles that are both high fantasy RPG's SHARING ASSETS? Why would anyone want that?
If I'm paying for 2 separate games, they better be unique experiences.
The only way I can see them sharing assets is if they try to pump out quick and shallow Gamepass content...which hopefully is not the case.
