By the end of next year MS and Sony will probably unveiled there next consoles, and will be talking 2014 release windows, I can see this happening
Next Gen starts when some body does something that can't be done on current gen. Current Generation PC tech does more than consoles, and hopefully when the Next xbox and Playstation come out the will be slightly better than what current gen pc's do... and have much better networks to support large multiplayer games, and MMO's
graphically planetside 2 seems like it could be on 360 or PS3, but no way either could run with the massive amount of players online and all the stu...
If sony gets a good cloud gaming service and you can play basically anything on vita then everyone will have one...
But God of War and Killzone, and Infamous would help, but so would more new IPs that can only be played on vita would really really help sales... because thats what drives a consoles sales of any kind the fact that there are gaming experiences that can only be had on said console...
Sony would be wise to get more games that are new and original to the vita
It doesn't need to release first, or even the same year as the next box, but really I see there being a next xbox before there being a new playstation.
@glopez... I'm pretty sure part of that will be because there is also a processor in the controller... Just saying it's not all going to be done by one WiiU Processor
They are coming out with tons of vita bundles
A Madden, a Liberation, and I think Even A COD one. that's your best bet.
I don't even demand they make another one, They made two great games, I will keep playing both of them... I would like to see another Batman By Rocksteady... I'd also like to see them make a game about DareDevil I think they could make that pretty damn good

I'm almost positive that further updates will continue to make the Vita better, and probably bring more and more PS1 classics to vita, and more PSP games and PS2 games... The thing is it's a nice option. I for one want Vita games, PSP games, PS1 games, PS2 games, and possible through a cloud service even PS3 games on my vita is that really to much to ask
For me PS3 has the best exclusives, and that's why I'm always playstation first... 360 Has good ones too, Lost Odyssey was/is one of my all time fav rpg's, Gears is good. Playstation seems to have more, and usually comes out with a steady flow of new exclusives... that really hit a wide range of gamers.
That's cause psp's are cheap as hell and there are tons of games for it... It's amazing to me that sony kept both handhelds of the market, but they did with PS2 and PS3 also...PS2 still sells... not much but it does. They should offer a promotion to buy back peoples PSP for PSVita discounts. If you like PSP then you will LOVE the vita
To Dominate what exactly the game will be out on 360 and PS3 at least a month before WiiU, and MS still has the DLC first. 7 million copies of that game will be bought before WIIU even comes out.... It Does help them show of 3rd party support for major games that will help Nintendo.
Truth; I'm not going to shell out 60 for the PS3 version and 40 to 50 for the Vita version, I would however get both for 70 to 80$ in a cross buy promotion... but 100+ dollars, no thanks... and I'm only doing double buy if the game is also cross-play
I highly doubt nintendo's online will be better or even as good as xbox and playstation.... MAG has 256 player online good luck getting more than that, other than PC of course.
People seem to forget how many games plus members get for free, and yeah, buy it once for PS3 and download it to Vita=Winner
MS doesn't really have anything to show, since there not ready to unveil the nextbox yet, plus I don't think the usually go to Gamescom... Nintendo should be blowing everyone away with WiiU stuff, but they remain pretty tight lipped... When Wii came out they had a huge media blitz, and had them everywhere to play, and that really helped push there sales, Wii U is only a few months from coming out and hardly anyone knows about it(other than us, well informed gamers, people that actuall...
Uncharted on vita also has touch control options, but you don't have to use them. Sony is all about options, really that's why alot of games come out and are regular games that you can also use the move with.

my thing isn't the start up cost, it's the upgrading, 360 and PS3 are both 6 or so years old and games that come out on them now are better then when they first came out, but A 6 year old pc, even with higher end tech, would still need to be upgraded to play games that are currently coming out...
PC's are better, but for the price, slightly better isn't really worth the, much more expensive.
