tablets and smartphones just are not powerful enough to replace PC, and Consoles... They are nice pieces of tech, but they are more an additional thing you can game on, not something that is going to replace the other options.
When someone comes out and says here's "Battlefield 4" for PC, WIIU, PS3, 360, and phones and tablets, and it's the same game, then let's talk about tablets and phones taking down consoles.
Just make your OS friendly to all the new game engines and give the Devs the freedom to really work with current tech. and see what they can do. Windows 8 will most likely be the default OS for most people in the near future so just make it easy to use and reliable
From where I'm sitting Playstation brand is strong, lots of good IP's ... Good Handheld, a strong console, free online, and I'm sure when Playstation 4 comes out it will be well worth the money.
Really looking forward to what Playstation and Xbox bring out for next-gen consoles

Sony comes out with some pretty good games so, yeah the understand gaming... They did motion controls, but most there motion games are regular games u can also use move with. The Vita is an impressive handheld that can deliver quality games. Free online. There sales maybe down but everyones sales are down.
@hellvaguy i see why you think I'm trolling but it was a serious question... I have not bought a new design xbox and heard they were better, but don't know for sure... I did own 2 360 both died... I have thought of re-buying but would only do so if those problems were solved
did they ever iron out the bugs in the 360, I heard the newer models were better, but am not 100% sure about that. I was there with you I bought two 360's that died, so I was done with it.
God of War has Amazing boss battles.
Shadow of the colossus is basically one boss battle after the next.
And through out the years Metal Gear games have had some really great boss fights(making you plug your controller into second port...hilarious)
It does seem like there are fewer and fewer these days, and not nearly as difficult.
I used to go to the arcade all the time and play street fighter 2, mortal kombat, and killer instinct, it was like the place to go to test your skills, and at the time everyone played fighting games. There wasnt online back then so it was the best way to play games like that Player v Player.
I could see how Arcades could make a come back today but they would be much different then when I was a kid.

while everyone gets it for the multiplayer the story for COD games is usually pretty good, And while frustrating at times on the hard levels its great when u get through those spots...
I'm interested in the branching story in BLOPS2 to see just how different it is.

I pay for PS Plus, but hell they give you games, I have totally come out ahead of the yearly fee for plus, with the amount of free stuff I get.
I Think Sony needs to improve on things like there network going down, sometimes everything on my Playstation works except for the store... its frustrating.
I'm pretty sure xbox would have a higher % of there players online if they could at the very least play games...

It seems like every game that comes out lately has a limited edition console to go along with it... Hell there are so many limited edition 360's you could probably own 20 different limited edition xbox's.
I'm not knocking anyone that buys one though, I buy limited edition games so no difference... It just seems there are a lot more of them then there used to be.
OKAY if Madden for the WiiU wont be out till you know the WiiU is out couldn't EA take a little more time with that version. Not releasing the game for PS3 and 360 isn't really an option, but seeing as how the Wii U will not be out by the time madden 13 is then EA could make them the same if they just put in the effort... of course this could also mean Wii U doesn't have the power, but that is unlikely.
I personally know some 80-90 people that play games, add my friends list from my PSN account 50 more... let's call it 135... out of that 135... 3 from my psn account are for a fact girls (4 more claim to be) so ill give it 7 and personally know 9 so 16 out of 135=12%(and Im rounding up) I live in NW Ohio so my demographic is probably different from some one in L.A. or Europe or Asia, but i figure that is alot closer than the 50%
