Show me a 6 year old PC even capable of playing some of these newer games (crisis 3, bf3, etc)
I am not going to shell out more money on a regular basis to upgrade my PC to play the newest games at only slightly better graphics, not a better story, not a better online experience, just slightly better graphics and frame rate. And the newest PC equipment is really expensive 1000$ graphics card... OUCH
Love QD and if that tech demo they showed at the PS4 press conference is any sign of what there bringing count me in. Can't wait for beyond looks amazing and QD does great stories and gameplay.

Not me I'm still buying plenty of games maybe even more... With psn games and major retail releases I am probably buying more than I did 5 years ago.
That could be in part to making more money and being in a pretty good place financially to spend the money on luxury items.
I think there will be another console cycle, tech keeps advancing, playstation and Xbox will continue to put out new consoles as the tech grows... I'm sure sooner or later tech will hit a peak or stand still, but until they make consoles you can crack open and upgrade there will always be something new. New in 2250 the playstation holodeck
Sony already squashed this rumor back in feb, the only console were not sure is the nextbox, but honestly we no nothing about nextbox... I can't see them blocking used games either.
I don't see used games hurting the industry at all... In fact if not for used games I never would have played games like boarderlands and that caused me to go wait in line a midnight for the release of boarderlands2 day one purchase

I think Xbox makes most of its money from Xbox live. And those numbers are impressive considering that new consoles are lumming and with that I'm sure a price cut to the 360

I'm just keeping my ps3... Last gen I traded towards the new console, but really did not find myself playing any of my old ps2 games on my( at the time ) b/c ps3... Just to many next gen games...
Ps4 will have KZSF, infamous second son, watch dogs, thief, and I'm sure more by the time it's released... So that will be my focus.
Possibly confirms... Is that like kinda sort of maybe.
The rumors that bug me are focus on casual and kinect centric.
I'm sure at E3 they will show lots of games, but will they be more core or more kinect.
The head to head battle between Sony an ms should be fun.
The competition between the 2 has really been beneficial to gamers as a whole
Both Xbox and playstation will out sell wii u. Even if they all sell less then last gen. Nintendo and there just wait crap is stupid. When most of your 3rd party support is ports of ps360 games that the wii couldn't handle, then you really don't have 3rd party support. And when Xbox and playstation come out with there new systems devs are going to be utilizing that tech and wii u will be left out just like wii was. The casual market is gone or moved on, it's the core gamers ...
True being the only one of the big 3 showing new console will help Crete hype, but Sony is still yet to show the ps4, and I'm sure both will have lots of games and features to show off... Price and release date are the biggies.
But I feel that all eyes are on Nintendo cause they really need to show off a lot of games, there year long "head start" was wasted
Yes but no year and a half head start will hurt them... This time around they will be going head to head with the PS4. Negative rumors are currently hurting them, and in the same time frame of negative rumors, Sony is enjoying good press and good hype, and good things being said by developers... This is also hurting Xbox.
What will help them is a good E3 with good games... On the other hand showing that these negative rumors are true and they really are kinect centric and going more ...
I think it has a lot to do with what's coming out( game wise )
Day one buyers are going for games nothing else really matters.
Specs are fun to argue about but for me it's all about games.

If they use the same type deal they have now it will be an extra 15 bucks a month for 2 years... Making that an extra 360$, lol.

@ Ashland I got bio shock 2 for free through plus, also darksiders, street fighter 4, spec ops the line, vanquish, demon souls all free, but that really doesn't stop me from buying games I really want day one at full retail price. It basically means I can try games I might not have played or re get games I already had and traded in towards new games. Your right though its not like every game will eventually be free on plus
If your a gamer than you really can't just " sit out" next gen... You just will have to play the awesome games that are on the next gen consoles. I need to play KZSF and Infamous second son, I NEED to play them. And when all devs are focused on making games that fully utilize the new tech, there. Won't be new games coming out on old consoles.
Please share responsible... I can't wait to get my hands on the PS4 and KZSF but I will only share awesome stuff... And I hope others do the same... I don't want to see your mediocre gaming skills or accomplishments... Just keep in mind everything you do is not epic.
