Of course it has sold well it is awesome. Clearly ahead of any other game out on the market. This has also lead to people getting the orginal. I doubt Natal is going to add any life at all to the 360, really only those people that already have a 360 are excited about it, and it won't increase there sales. Software updates for the 360 are a joke, they have never done anything to improve the quaility of the 360.
Microsoft pays for the advertising it's not like a bunch of companies just support the 360, they get paid alot of money to do it. It failed because it never once made microsoft any money. The orginal xbox was never profitable, and the 360 has cost Microsoft into the billions, no matter what xbox thinks microsoft may not be willing to develop another console that isn't going to make money. This is the exact same thing as Playstation Home, and I remeber when that came out and all the bots were making fun of it, but now that it is on the 360 it's some kind of amazing advancement for the online community. No 30 frames a second is sub par. And when people get there hands on that they are not going to be impressed. And it has nothing to do with the way it reads your controller movements, there is always something going on in games and it does not require you to move your thumbs. I have yet to see anything for the 360 that says it could run a game like god of war 3. There are no games on 360 that come close to this, and it seems to be a trend with people who are developing games now for sony. They are finding out that there is so much more the PS3 can do then the 360. Just look at Uncharted 2 and tell me I'm wrong.
Notice they always seem to be avoiding the holiday season when hundreads of games come out. October, november, and December always are flooded with titles...It is a good Idea to get there game out before then.
There numbers never actually match up to NPD numbers, but there sales are impressive, they have out done there original console.
There are around 8 million to 9 million 360 rebuys though so the actuall number of people that own a xbox is around 30 to 31 million.

The 360 is maxed, and nothing that microsoft or anyone is showing makes me think any differently. Crackdown 2 is crackdown one with bright shiney colors no real improvements. Mass Effect 2 claims shorter load times, but that remains to be seen, and the graphics look alomost identical to the first Mass Effect. To get a pc to run games as good as either system will cost you a ton of money, and even a crap pc is more expensive then a 360 or PS3. I don't understand why people are still even mentioning pc gaming.

There will be a new wii soon, by the end of 2010. There will be a new xbox before than too, but as of right now Playstation is the last company that will have to come out with a new system. Who the hell is playing games in standard def. If you have a PS3 then you need a hi-def tv, it's just the way it is. Everything about the PS3 is optomized for HD not SD. If you had a wii or 360 you could get away with standard def, but not for the PS3
