I have this burning question.
If not the graphics, what makes killzone as a series a stand out game?
Also, why is this ok with guerilla games and not the likes of crytek?
From what I've seen crisis 3 itself offers much more in the name of "gameplay mechanics" things like: jumping, grabbing things, flying things, driving things, multiple paths etc.
so why is it that when this game comes on people here are so att...
Ryse is the only game that gave me that "feeling"
I got back in 05 with the 360 title gears of war.
I knew it was gonna be big and ryse, regardless of if you like quick time events or not. this title looks great and seems fun.
I would also like to add to this little snafu you got goin here.
Last time I checked Intel was WIPING the floor with amd chips.
like an order of magnitude in terms of performance gap.
amd made all of the core components in the new boxes.
don't you think that amd would be "back in the game" If their hardware was actually an upgrade from current pc tech?
Amd is failing hard right now posting billi...
to truly be a good game following these epic types of movies, the physics and graphics would need to be 10 times better than they are today.
playing anything less than that is bound to leave a bad taste in your mouth, especially following the level of particle physics in this movie.
@kingfetish
I am sincerely confused by your logic... o_O
I gotz 16gb
I can confirm nothing atm uses over 5-6
I "work" on the pc where 16gb is useful and I still run out of ram all the time.
Is a bird in the hand worth two in the bush?
I don't know. ;)
I think ME is closest the the complete garbage that windows 8 is.
performance may be better but you'll be needing that to navigate their hyper confusing new
"way"
I don't think so
gaming mice and kbs are nice but to me they are just placebo bling.
I have gamed on a Logitech kb and a ms mouse for years never had a problem haha.
In short yes. but only because ryse gives me the same feeling gears did when I was watching the e3 05 demos.
ryse is something special but im a pc guy.
something about the ripped sails flapping in the wind after the soldiers first jump off the ship. it just looked epic :)
without Kinect I would purchase xbox just for that as I would purchase ps4 for shadowfall
@meetajew and @cursed devil
I honestly don't know whos right. I don't know IM BITING MY DAMN FINGERNAILS OFF.
That was entertaining Good show. I wish you guys had a couple more bubbles to see what you had to say next.
so which is it does Linux only use 1 kernel that recognizes different hardware?
or does Linux come with multiple kernels that are checked for compatability during installation?
I was eating popc...
The answer to all of rare's problems is Conker 2
Plain and simple.
Microsoft is leaving millions on the table by not making that.
seriously rare could return to greatness if msoft just said. "make it" "its time"
haha
CONKER MOTHER FUN-KING 2 !
do it
what our core audience doesn't want to switch to our garbage tablet os?
well lets just pull a vista.
FORCE THEM!
I will never switch to windows 8.
maybe 9 or what they are calling windows Blue
But screw 8 its crippled
If it uses laptop parts then why the hell is the xbone as big as a desktop anyway?
I find it odd that they show this on pc like this. wasn't it shown at both the e3 conference and the xbone?
wouldn't that mean that this pc is more than 2 times as powerful as the xbone and yet its being shown as if its running on the console itself?
either way glad to hear its not SUPER MEGA high end and just plain old high end :)
means everyone will be able to run it.
dual 7990s would be total overkill imo.
You cant say that yet... hush we've just undergone a new console generation which means they have flocked here in the thousands and are waiting to attack! haha ;)
@hakesterman
first there is no such thing as ddr5 memory.
and what you said doesn't make much sense.
gddr5 is in reality much much "slower" than ddr3
however it makes up for it in bus width 512bit as opposed to ddr3s usually lower bus width.
and the fact that ddr3 only reads or writes per cycle and ddr5 does both read and write per cycle.
and dual clockspeeds.
but photos...
I understand that you are still hyped off e3
but trust me when I say this. Ram speed matters WAY more in compute intensive programs than in games.
I know the ps4 is beastly and yes gddr5 is the better choice
In laymen terms
gddr5
Fat pipe slow stroke
the fat pipe allows for parallelism and large chunks but can afford high latency due to the fact that it can do other things while its waiting like "renderin...
Dude Sony Killed just absolutely MURDERed Msoft.

and Its $100 cheaper than the competition
MY LORD
Good show Sony.... Good show!
@tainted gene
not really, but you are subject to the law of diminishing returns.
as seen here even today (this example from 2k8) people in the demoscene are working to max out the commodore 64, read some of the comments and see what they were able to achieve. :)
