I'll burn my last bubble here. Your argument would apply to any exclusive game... Infamous (Sony owned, I know) is also losing half of the potential sales. Halo will lose half of it's potential sales. Gears the same. Uncharted. Killzone... etc.
Are you going to then say that because Sony sold more PS4's it was unwise to make it an MS exclusive? Well, I'd argue that EA & Respawn may be banking on two things:
1. The attach rate... XBox custo...
Way to use your 2 bubbles. How is this a win? Well, for starters, Titanfall has been trending ahead of Infamous Second Son very significantly just looking at pre-orders. Not even looking at sales. And* this only includes pre-orders for Xbox One, not even counting 360 or PC activity.
That alone is a "win" based on Sony fanboys constantly bringing up the sales of the PS4 vs. XB1. Just purely based on the units sold, you would think that the only meaningful next gen o...
Your comment makes no sense. Have you even played it? It's one of the smoothest launches I've ever seen. It isn't a week old yet and it is smoother than any other MP FPS I can remember.
It's also very well balanced... there aren't a ton of over-powered or under-powered elements that need to be patched.
Exactly. Any positive news surrounding Microsoft on N4G is typically addressed by a mad scramble to find some small amount of mud to sling... no matter how far fetched.
It's sad really.
If Titanfall came to PS4 these negative comments wouldn't exist, we'd certainly hear about how the PS4 version was superior based on identical screenshots - but the game would be celebrated.
Jeez... I almost want to go back and play Daggerfall just to see how obnoxious it would be. 62,000+ square miles?! Why?
In the realm of details it's hard to beat GTA V... depth measured by things you can actually do? Yeah, that's where GTA V is limited.
If they had dynamic missions pop up based on your location, then GTA V may have been tough to beat.
So, beyond all of the articles and blog posts explaining Respawn's logic for making the decision to go w/ Xbox - where is your source of information that shows EA forcing them into this decision?
Respawn had a specific set of requirements. A lot of them grounded in the web infrastructure. Either platform was capable of having Titanfall. In the end it went to MS, that was Respawn's choice, not MS' checkbook.
It shines too, I don't know if I've ever seen such flawless online operation during launch week. And it's only going to get better.
4.5 hours in with a single frame dip that was hardly noticeable.
Taco Bell is the only exception to your rule... $7.22 can buy you a meal worthy of heaven.
Other than that, yeah, you get what you pay for!
Yes, the other 80% of the PS4's power is on reserve to fly individual Sony cult members up to the mothership.
LOL. Best opening line ever.
Agree + a Bubble for that.
Ewwww, no... if you are going back in time, Battlefield 2 for the PC was the apex of the series in my opinion.
Ever since BF2 for PC back in the day, they've tried to stuff WAY too much into the game. The HUD reduces your field of view by 30%+. I feel like I'm in a Japanese arcade on mushrooms whenever I've played BF3 or BF4.
You can add as many vehicles as you want, but a buggy game is a buggy game.
Actually, comparing the two is kind of silly now that I look at the article. One is an open military shooter and the other is a fast paced arena shooter. It's like comparing GTA Online to Quake.
If the bugs in BF4 have actually been ironed out, I'd pick it up if I saw it on sale.
It's also not out for 5+ months unfortunately.
Fix Battlefield 4 and release DLC for a game-mode with mechs and jet packs. Poof. Competition gone.
Until then, I'll stick w/ TF.
His original concept of Fable... i.e. the lies he told at the time; were insanely ambitious. If there was ever one way he could redeem himself, it would be to dig up his old interviews and piece together his original goals for Fable to launch a reboot.
Truly non-linear, generational (play as your son's son's daughter in a perpetual world), highly interactive game with engaging physics and a dynamic storyline.
It would take years to build even with t...
I know it's been announced, but I hope they show Gears.
An open world Gears of War with an initial concept video @ E3 - based on Azure to make it run seamlessly with hundreds/thousands of players. This could be how they continue the GoW universe and avoid a "reboot". Strong physics engine, hopping from planet to planet, to take over different territories, etc.
Maybe if Sony gets Shenmue, MS gets Panzer Dragoon Saga Sequel?

Video is hilarious. It does a great job highlighting the crazy nonsense that is possible in GTA: Online. Although it's gotten much better... a lot of those skits were spot on.
Right... the console of choice for disabled people to hack their own standard controllers into single hand mods.
A process that unfortunately requires two hands.
Now* if Sony buys Ben Heck's hack and produces it, they would deserve some serious credit.
Hahaha, exactly, well - what do you expect? There aren't any games worth playing right now on their potato machines.
Us silly cauliflowers just sit here and play with our over-hyped MP game.
Plus the potatoes have all the time in the world. The frighteningly low attach rates indicate that they don't actually play games, they spend their days criticizing cauliflowers instead :)
