Best launch of non-socccer/cod game since hogwarts is great for them.
No one's reading all of that
They tried that with Mirage and sales went off a cliff. Most people want giant maps with a ton of stuff to do even if it's repetitive.
Game's getting mostly 8s and 9s; it's not like it's a crazy outlier for one reviewer to give it a ten out of the hundreds that'll inevitably cover it.
Honestly wish it had more of a Bully feel. It was clear that 90% of the attention went to the school and town and the rest felt like the northern chunk of Just Cause 3's map. Almost like they had to justify the flying mechanic by spreading things out.
That's silly, it's one of the top 10 best selling franchises of all time coming off its best selling entry. Very little chance it sells under 15-20 million copies.
PSVR still has fresnel lenses which are objectively inferior to Q3's pancake lenses. PSVR is ahead with oled and that's about it.
Sony/Nintendo couldn't afford that acquisition so they wouldn't have a choice. Sony did get desperate and overpay for all their GaaS studios though. Nintendo has been the only company this gen that's stuck to their guns and executed this gen.
There's a woman in it.
From are critical darlings, but pretty much everything they release is a mess technically.
That "gotcha" doesn't really hit the same after Concord.
Honestly I think the strategy was to have one of them be a huge success (billions in revenue) and have that pay for all the other games and devs they'd shut down from the failures. One Fortnite-level success would double the brand's profit, so it makes sense why they'd take a flier on it, even if the odds were terrible and in practice has so far been about worst case scenario.

Even a 6650xt, ryzen 5 3600, 16gb ram, cheap case, 1tb hd, basic mobo....maybe not 500 on the nose, but 650-750 will definitely get you there. Could argue from there about game cost, free online etc... The days of needing 1k+ for a solid gaming pc are well behind us though.
Gameplay is 60 fps
Last of Us 2 was rated worse than 1, Lost Legacy was rated worse than UC4, UC3 was rated worse than UC2. Unless you mean franchises, but the LoU's are rated 95/93, while the two best rated UC games are 96/93.
I really can't find any metric by which your statement is correct. That said, ND is obviously is no danger and this game will likely do phenomenally well for them.
and it'll look better on windows than pro so...cool?
Todd executive produced and wrote the story for it. He's pretty well documented to be the driving force behind the project. MG have done a fantastic job executing the development though.
