i had the some odd issues when i first installed 7 pro, but as soon as i got the right drivers it was smoother than butter.
@rob6021
rare really hasn't been relevant since they were owned by nintendo, so while your point is taken, i really don't think anyone is expecting anything from them anyway. with regards to ms funding first party development, look how they got burned on Alan Wake. Great game, but virtually no support from the so called hardcore gamers that are supposedly craving new ip. as money hungry as people like to portray ms, i really don't think they're going to abando...
i'm so sick of that bullshit. really, you'd have to be blind and stupid to really believe that. look at the shitload of money they just made on Reach. look at the COD following that's on the 360. look at all the GoW fans, that's money in the bank that ms is not gonna turn it's back on. if you spent the kind of money they did on the tech behind kinect, your focus when it launches would be to make sure that it launches successfully. that's why it seems that there is no f...
unfortunately that is so true.
quit trolling and watch the vid. it has been stated many times that the kinect firmware has been updated many times throughout its development. the video you linked is completely irrelevant to the vid posted in this article. what version of the firmware were they playing? nobody knows. what is known, is that in the video posted in this article, kinect is shown to be working just fine. stop trolling here, if you wanna stroke off, go do it in one of the many gt5 posts with the rest of the fanbo...
if you paid attention you would know that they said that there is some sort of nda that prevents them from showing the actual device. kinda obvious considering this isn't really a review, but rather a play test. by the way, this is gamespot/uk doing this vid and not ms.
i was gonna get this anyway so that my wife and i could play games with our young son, but after seeing this video i'm even more hyped for it. after watching this, i have absolutely no doubts about whether my wife and son will enjoy this. can't wait till next week!
i love my psp slim, and would love to get this to replace it and my phone, but there are a few things that bother me about this. 1. Battery life; i know without umd it might be ok, but that leads into my second concern. 2. How am i gonna get my games? part of the reason the Go was a disaster was that games were downloadable at full price, yet discounted on umd. if they can solve these two issues, i'm sold.
i guess i have to post this again cause you obviously didn't see it before.
stop being a douche. you act like the 360 doesn't have any parental controls, NEWS FLASH, all the current gen consoles have them. if you're such a "concerned" parent, then take a few minutes out of your busy "i'm a hater" schedule and set them up.
it's parents like you that give ammo to all those "concerned" lawmakers that want to cens...

i can't wait till black ops, and gt5 come out so fanboys on both sides will have better things to do with their time than post bs like this. it's all just flamebait used to inspire a circle-jerk comprised of the biggest douchebags on the net. celebrity-gossip.net really? i don't really think you could get more obscure than that as far as gaming news goes.
i can't believe how many people commented without reading the article. LOLOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! all they did was write an article imagining how you would play a game using kinect and a controller. it's already been stated numerous times that there will be games that will be playable with a traditional controller where the experience can be enhanced with the kinect sensor. all the pics are just mock ups. wow, i guess reading isn't being taught in schools anymore.
sh*t talking in a rpg based on a rts game? really? what a douche.
guess sh*t talkers do get dealt with.
i wasn't talking about the pseye, i was referring to the constant comparisons made between the eyetoy and kinect. eyetoy was ps2 tech and pseye is the ps3 upgrade of the eyetoy. some people are so emotionally invested is material things that they just don't seem to pause and contemplate what's being said. the pseye is a great piece of tech, just wish sony would do more with it. eye of judgement had so much promise, but ultimately failed due to lack of support. sadly, all i use my ...
i never knew the eyetoy was capable of detecting movement in 3 dimensional space, or capable of voice or facial recognition. the eyetoy can tell the difference between two completely different players standing in front of it at the same time? or sign me into my profile by recognizing unique characteristics of my body? control video playback via voice command? uh, no to all of the afore mentioned. kinect is similar to the eyetoy in the sense that it's a motion based camera control scheme, ...
very first part of the article that you linked says,
Reuters) - Sony said on Thursday it sold 1 million units of its Move motion-based video game controller in its first month on the American market, and that demand was outstripping supply.
clearly says that sony claims to have SOLD 1 million units, yet this article states,
"Although Sony's numbers are for controllers it had shipped to stores, there's a good chance that many of th...
actually, the wii was very hot at launch. there were many websites created solely for the purpose of tracking wii inventory so consumers knew where to go to get one, never saw any such thing with the ps3.
here's another take on the "1 million shipped", http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blo...
probably has something to do with cloud implementation, or further development of nui technologies.
