All Duke Nukem Forever has to do is reach a million in sales and it will be OK. No real money was lost in the 12 year Dev time due to Bankruptcy and buyouts.

Anyway DICE is the kind of Developer that the publisher can't push around. DICE makes what they wanna make and so far they can do no wrong. DICE could easily quit EA and have Steam/Valve publish all their games or GSC or Deep Silver which are very successful European Publishers closer to DICE's Sweden location

Cheap console ports to PC are just a way for a cheap Publisher to make a few extra bucks on a game without really doing anything.
Most cheap ports just end up being Pirated all to hell because most PC Gamers DO NOT buy console ports anyway. Perfect example The Witcher 2 vs. Fable 3 both released the same day.
