Your paying Microsoft $60 a year to basically play your games online but M$ doesn't have any control over the servers.
then you gotta pay anyway to use anything on XBL.....so what's the point? XBL should ensure servers stay open.

My PC can play all
PS2, Wii, PSP, DS, PS1, SNES, NES, Genesis, turbo gfx 16, Neo Geo, Saturn, Dreamcast, Arcade, Atari, mega Drive, Gameboy, games
So scratch metal Gear HD collection, Rock Band 3, and Pac man off that list. Also once windows 8 arrives then scratch the rest off that list.
RDR, UC2, GOW3 are the only games i feel i miss by not having a console but then I pop in Arma 2 and i totally forget about them.

Although 2K Games just made a ton of cash publishing several titles from the Turn based strategy Civilization series, I just don't understand how they can say RTS are not contemporary.
also ever heard of Starcraft, Dawn of War, Total War, Company of Heroes? sure we all have cause strategy games are so popular. This is what 2K Games has published since 2009....looks like 2K Games just loves Teh Shootaz.

For the most part multi-plats run better on the 360. it's just simply easier for Devs to program for. Nothing against the PS3 or my wonderful PC but most Devs are lazy and the 360 is cake.
Now when you have a PC Developer putting their reputation on the line they go all out for the PC and consoles. Valve, DICE, Crytek and soon CD Projekt Red have all done great jobs making sure all system are top notch.

Anyway EA, GameStop, XBL, and Valve will be the major Digital Dealers in the future.
Valve will continue to dominate the market. They have all the major PC titles, Indie titles, plus they have a dedicated community of over 30 million plus they have the best in house game catalog of all. a few EA titles not being on Steam is not gonna hurt Steam one bit. Actually it will only cause EA to loose money.

i'm starting to think there will not be a huge jump in console power next gen. Consoles may get just enough power to properly game at 1080p with 4xAA and 8xAF in DX10.1 or DX11 mode. Not a huge jump but a sure fire smarter jump.
Lots of CPU power will be for all the new motion stuff consoles will be able to do thus the CPu's will definitely be stronger next gen.
AMD HD 6870 is at a great price range to fit in the new consoles and keep the prices ...

Piracy has always benefitted the industry.
1. I never ever get stuck spending $60 for a sucky game. All my games that i buy are of AAA quality and i support the developers buy buying their products.
2. Piracy gives people on a very tight budget to check out something they might never have tried before and if they like it you just earned a new customer.
