I have ZERO experience with Planetside but so many PC gamers that i trust are telling me it's a great game and they are hyped about PS2.
Most likely this weekend i will get hands on experience at my Lan party.
i'm running out of being hyped...too many great PC Games on the horizon.
OK everybody that has windows 7 i'm sure by now knows their Win7 Score. everytime you do that little test Win7 sends data back to M$ telling them the capabilities of your PC.
So many PC's with win7 are powerful enough to run Xbox 360 games that M$ decided to go ahead and make a ton of money by adding the Xbox 360 code to Windows 8.

i wanna see real quality. many publishers will rush devs to pump out crap in a rush to get on board with the f2p craze. I don't mind paying $10 or $15 a month for absolute AAA quality.

Hey just say what your game is trying to do and point out how it's gonna achieve those goals. when Devs start talking about COD it means they were playing COD while making their game.
well looks like I'll get to play a proper version of Red Dead Redemption and Gears of War 3 in 1600p 60 FPS 8xAA (MSAA or SSAA and not that FXAA/MLAA blur crap) 16xAF. yeh i know that's overkill but F it!
i wonder will Developers go back and add proper 3D support and 3 and 6 screen support to those Xbox 360 games for us PC Gamers?

I'm gonna stand by my statement in regards to Dead island. No disrespect to any bodies PC but i'm an enthusiast gamer and in my opinion the recommended card being a Nvidia 9600 is weak sauce.
even if the PC optimization fairy and Jesus both work for Techland there is only so much optimization you can do. therefore i feel the game is low end in graphics and will be a quick console port to PC.

1. 250 million online gamers.....Just Google it. They surveyed PC's that were online, gaming, and had Discrete graphics cards and that's how they determined that number. if you have a discrete graphics cards your playing more than Solitaire or farmville.
2. I don't think you have used Steam. with Steam you download a game and it plays. You do not have to install a game when you use Steam. Also consoles read info from a disc so during the game your loading times ...
GTAIV PC will not sale 20 million copies like it did on the consoles but the mods have really kept it alive to make a nice profit on the PC.
You have to realize GTAIV was a console port that didn't run very efficiently on the PC when it finally made it over to the PC but the mods, especially the MP and graphics mods have made it worth the $$$$.

Your still gonna have AAA titles that require a subscription and those will still be the best but when a Publisher like EA can make a crappy f2p game like Battlefieldp4f and use that cash to finance a real quality project like Mirror's Edge 2 then it's OK.
and yes BFP4F is crappy slash OK. Way too much lag, bad hit detection and weapons power rating seem to change every minute.

I just can't see EA going to war with Steam by not putting BF3 on Steam. I'm sure it will be on Steam after the initial 3 month period.
If not then EA is gonna have to create one hell of a library and start pulling in other games from different publishers and Indie Devs and build a community of over 30 million gamers to fully compete with Steam.

very low system specs....I think my coffee maker can run Dead island.
Low system specs don't always equal a crappy console port but the recommended GPU being GeForce 9600 makes me Facepalm. Obviously Dead island has nothing to offer in the graphics department or A.I. department either so the game play better be stellar (which i doubt it is).
