I never played Planetside but my pals have given me enough info plus my own research make...
sure i do realize smart phone and ipad games are a big business and account for a large part of that "other 60%" that he is talking about but......
Steam dominates the market in Indie Games, sure Minecraft, Angry Birds and Farmville are not on Steam but these 3 games are a rain drop in the ocean of Indie titles on Steam. That dam Aarg crap for Portal 2 made Steam and the Indie devs a huge amount of cash in like a very short time with no advertisement.

The PS3 has been out since 2006 and I'm 100% sure Developers had a PS3 Dev kit since 2005.
So 6 years later we are still hearing Devs complaining about how hard it is to work on the PS3. Meanwhile Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Sucker Punch, and Guerrilla Games have made some super duper great games that really pushed the PS3.
I say "Shut up you lazy developer, just shut the hell up"!
No literally I'm blind now with only two burnt holes left. It sucks but hey Stem cell technology is really taking off so i'll be back to normal in about a month. 1600p was well worth it.
GTAIV has so many massive MP mods that really crank that game up. I've enjoyed my time with it so much that it has become a regular rotation during Lan parties. go to www.moddb.com to get some cool GTAIV mods.

Ubisoft under-achieves at everything they do If they put forth the quality and dedication their Core titles could fund themselves. Right now they have to rely on gimmicks and Assassin Creed: Stone Age Warfare to get them through.

I'm sorry but we all know the PS3 is technically superior to the 360 therefore I for one am tired of games not pushing a system to it's limits.
PS3 Devs should be trying to take down GOW3 KZ3 and UC3 every time out while 360 Devs need to surpass Alan Wake and Gears3 every time out.

Microsoft launching the Xbox 720 in 2012 will force Sony to launch the PS4 early. The WiiU is not even in the equation.
The WiiU will have a AMD HD 4870 making it more than capable of 1080p gaming and graphics that would crush the 360 and PS3 BUT the WIIU lacks the social network like PSN and XBL so it will wow many gamers but not pull many away from PS4 or xbox 720.
Also with NO solid price information the WiiU has lost ALL it's E3 buz...
this game is just so DAM pretty.

plus the F2p format is a gold mine along with all the MMO's coming out.
Digital distribution has been around since 2003, most Devs are just realizing how to properly use all the ever changing tools the PC has.

I grew up in the "OMG we are gonna die by Nuclear War" era so i demand more Nuke Strikes in video games.

at times i totally forget i have Wii emulator on my PC. My nieces use it all the time when they come over.
Well the wii is using an AMD chip on par with a HD 4870.
The 720 will get a custom DX10.1 or DX11 AMD chip
PS4...who knows
I'm sure they will be able to do this level of graphics but the concern is price. They gotta get as much bang in them for $450. $500 or higher ain't gonna fly next Gen especially with PC hardware so cheap now a days.

They are a bunch of Euro Devs so I already care too! Euro Devs have been kicking ass with great games.
