i got several mods running at once that enhance the cars, buildings, NPC, play mechanics and the game over all.
If you can run Crysis maxed out in 1080p you should be good but a 4 core CPU is better than 2 Core CPu as far as performance. I can tell the difference between my Core i5 2500K and my Phenom X2 machines.
Just think GTAIV PC was an OK port but modders have made it such a wonderful gaming experience.

M$ has already swiped 50% of the market share once dominated by Sony. M$ has managed to sell over 10 million Kinects and slowly bring the Wii kiddies over to the xbox.

Metro 2033 was a beast to run and still is but it's so pretty. I say it looks better than Crysis because of the detailed textures. a little linear but an overall great experience.
It didn't get a lot of 360 hype but it sold well enough on the PC to pay for a sequel which i'll be getting.
Overall this was a great list of games that got overlooked.
Firefall has some unique graphics and i've seen more gameplay of Firefall SO FAR. Only thing is Firefall might be really repetitive unlike Planetscape which is always changing
BUT......your right Planetscape was a HUGE ambitious game and hopefully PS2 is on the same level but more refined.

I've was gaming at 1600 x 1200 resolution with 4xAA and 8xAF back in 2004. I built my first PC specifically to run Half Life 2 with max settings.
Athlon 64 K8 Hammer and a ATi X850xt....which lasted about 6 months before stepping up to a Athlon X2 and ATi X1900. Anyway the 8800GTX came out in 2006 and it was over for consoles as that brought DX10.
