yeh i just checked out the game play and the first thing the guy said was it was like DotA and from what i saw it was very fast paced.
sorta like a RTS but no base building just straight combat. lots of clicks per minute.
if your referencing the fact that I will not support Origins......i choose to NOT support Origins because I DO NOT trust EA like I do STEAM with my Digital purchases.
all 70+ of my Steam games are playable online even if Steam gets suck through a massive Portal and implodes without any extra fees, stupid game pass, or unforeseen crap.
I plan to only play BF3 on Origins for maybe 4 weeks before I'm off to a private server anyway.
Now...
I don't know about consoles cause i don't really play on them so speaking for the PC DD Indie titles.
1. make a really good quality innovative indie title
2. Put it on Steam or sale it yourself form your own website
3. sit back and count your millions while at the Ferrari dealership.
it's pretty much that simple on the PC as PC Gaming has always made great games successful by "word of mouth".
1. Battlefield 3...we all have seen the 12 minute video....nuff said
2. Guild Wars 2....And you thought Skyrim was gonna end your social life? Ha, Fool you know nothing! This is the Holy Grail of RPG's.
3. Uncharted 3....this is the PS3 flagship series that will convince PS3 gamers to stop playing GT5.
4. Elders Scroll V Skyrim....Ok other than GW2 this is the RPG to get....(you should have The Witcher 2 already)

Just EA pulling crap from Steam in an attempt to grab all the DLC cash without sharing with Steam. Steam has 30 million users which is like 10 times more than any other DD Store but EA insist on being dumb.
You don't see Apple only Exclusively selling their iphones and ipods at the Apple store do you? HELL NO they sell them babies every where they can.
This will all back fire on EA in the end....besides I'm still playing the Witcher 2 so who cares...
well not really but they left off STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl therefore by default the list is crappy.
Sorry but STALKER not only redefined atmospheric in video games but pushed it to a new level.
The first time you encounter a Bloodsucker underground you will know what I'm talking about. Play the game with a quality set of headphones and 1080p and you will feel the eeriness of The Zone.
Oh ok only 1.4 million gamers daily with a peak of 500k gamers for a game I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF!!!
unfortunately the PC has many games like this with huge communities that just quietly fly (first class) under the radar.
like for example Runescape, Maple Story, and Evony (Evony for %$$%% crying out loud) and their billions of players but i know No one who plays these games.

My personnel Holy Trinity of military FPS. pretty much own these 3 and you got the VERY BEST of The Best!
Sure i love PC Gaming for the super duper graphics but for the most part i love PC gaming for the Games it has that are not on consoles.
Remember the PC has all the genres of gaming and when they become popular on the PC then they go to the consoles.
PC Gaming is just a different world from consoles. The amount of core games (Indie or AAA) is just staggering. Plus like others have mentioned KB/M for life for FPS, Full motorized race chair for iRacing, 6 ...
I had to stop playing all FPS and go back to playing Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 to get back in game shape for RO2.
RO is really a hardcore WWII shooter and it's so dam good. If you own a PC then on August 30th go BUY IT!!

Although BC2 is a console series that PC Gamers were lucky to have, the PC version was flat out awesome and really provided the much needed update from the then 5 year old BF2.

No surprise there since BF3 will not be on Steam many PC Gamers (like me and all my friends) are gonna buy retail copies. (yeh i know you can pre-order hard copies but why bother cause the stores are gonna be stuffed with BF3)
We all refuse to support and be an EA Origins download statistic. Also the Star Wars fanbase is ungodly huge and so ready for World of Warcraft in the Star Wars universe....LOL inside joke there.

I'm watching the Alpha footage and i'm drooling all over my keyboard.....this game is just flat out superior to everything ever made ever.
Graphics, animation, scale, destruction, lighting, game play, realism, etc.
and you know what's so crazy? we have yet to see what makes BF so special which is 32 vs. 32 with tanks, jets, Hellis, and LAV's all on one map in all out warfare.
that looks really cool but your neck would be stiff and soar from being turned sideways after a long road trip.
