I just don't see this working out. When i view all the games with subscriptions they all have a few things in common. A community of like minded individuals who for the most part get along (Except Eve Online but it's team based) and there is a common goal to achieve for the group.
COD wouldn't work with a pay format because NO one likes each other and there is ZERO team work plus there is no long term goal no End-Game just mindless shooting.

Take2 Zenimax Activision/Blizzard EA Valve and some others are the big time players with Valve being private while the others are public. I just don't see a sale cause Take2 like Valve is pushing the innovation while Activision and EA are relying on "what is selling right now"

FPS are great because they have of way of immersing you more into the games atmosphere than any other format.
I think FPS/Rpg are the best because it provides the best of both worlds. Fast game play, great story and quest
yeh both pics are DX9. There is plenty of Crysis 2 PC video and screen shots on the net and when Crysis 2 is in DX11 mode everything on the solders uniform has 3D depth to it because of Tessellation.

Dam turn base strategy game that's less than half the game SC is. plus this sounds more along the lines of Dawn of War but even lesser than that.
FPS/Rpg is the way to go as it offers more depth on story and game play to the Single player side which is sometimes being forgotten with the blind rush for a online component being glued to every game now a days.

With PSN you have the OPTION to pay. No pay you still play online. If you do pay then you play online and get extra stuff.
