The answer to your question is that Valve publishes all their games since the Lawsuits, generally EA distributes the console and retail versions for Valve.
in the very beginning of Valve, Vivendi and Sierra was Valve's publisher before the big lawsuits and Valve becoming self contained.
I know Team Fortress, Counter Strike, Counter Strike Condition Zero, and Half life are the only Non Valve published Valve games

Why not just buy a Sony Vaio? same high quality almost the same look but now you would be able to have bleeding edge hardware and more customization. Heck you can even put OSX on it if you must.
