First of all I would like to thank this article for stating the obvious; that's like saying 'Phones: not just for phone calls'. Secondly, why does the author include Sony in his rant given their unofficial motto for this next generation is 'all about the games'? Did he miss their reveal?
I think it's safe to say that everyone is laughing at Microsoft based on their own specifics.
I'm just hoping the story and characters are up to it. Killzone's characters in particular have always been weak. Everything else is top notch though and really looking forward to this!
It still baffles me how people will pay over €600 for a phone but think that price is way to expensive for a console. I bought my PS3 day one for over €600. I have used it nearly everyday since then. Probably the best investment I have made in a long time in terms of how much I use it vs cost.
Can't wait for this. Haven't looked at any previews or trailers since the first ones were released. It's killing me.
When they patched Confrontation up it was probably my favourite game at the time, it was awesome. Unfortunately they left it too late and most people who played it during the buggy days had already left.
I thought Far Cry 3 was amazing like you did... at first. Looking back on it, it got repetitive quite quickly and I lost interest. Vaas was a great character but like you said he got killed off way too early. Hoyt had nothing on him.
Ah I see. Misread the title and I never played Black Ops 2.
That's a next-gen engine??

It's a fantastic book. That will clear it up for you :)
Very smart? I don't think so. If Microsoft block used games they have officially gone full retard in regards to what they bring to gamers. And I am talking about core gamers, the ones who made the 360 and the original Xbox sell in the first place. It's never good for business when you alienate your core audience and fanbase.
I don't think devs will benefit from this either. Look at the uproar over Sim City, which went to great efforts to have always online....
That is not true at all. Any recent article I have seen about the PS4 or next Xbox has always been filled with people saying wait for an announcement. Stop trying to get a dig in at something that wasn't there.
I love PS+. My HDD hates it.
The setting for the game bored me to death eventually. The island is so dull and dreary. That they took out underwater gameplay as well annoyed me. Some of the best levels in the franchise are water levels.
Even Microsoft thinks Microsoft should quit the gaming business.
Never played them :) but honestly, people talk about the web browser, trophy issues, etc. but the only thing that ever freezes my PS3 is when I go back to the spawn/class menu in BF3 and that fuzzy effect comes up. 1 in 10 sessions my PS3 will freeze.
The only thing that freezes my PS3 is BF3!
If you want to play your PS3 games keep your PS3. Is that so difficult?
I've clocked 464 hrs on BF3's multiplayer and I gotta say I am really disappointed with the BF4 reveal. As a big fan I'm excited for BF4 because I know it is coming anyway but that has nothing to do with the reveal. Single player FPS campaigns in games like BF and COD are so generic they don't make me budge. It's all about the online in BF for me and will continue to be so until I see something other than what the reveal showed. Just give me BC2 style destruction and u...
"I thought it was their best conference for years, they showed some decent games and kept the bullshit to a minimum." - agreed but that still doesn't make me want to buy one. I'm not convinced by Microsofts strategy.
