To be fair both of the games you listed didn't have a bundle until well after they were released. PUBG got a bundle one month after it's release.
It's not really a new franchise if it was on PC for almost a year before Xbox. And if you consider the hype and funding Microsoft put forth for it, it's really a lot less than I'm sure a lot of people expected. It's makes sense why they needed to bolster sales and bundle it up with their consoles so quickly.
Are you kidding? The battle system was one of the best parts of the game. It was the game many people wished Pokemon was.

Lennox, there are sales tracking firms like NPD, GFK, Zhugex, Charttrax, VGchart ect.
All of these firms contact retailers and e-tailers to get sales information. None of them has EVER provided a sales figure anywhere near this outrageous estimate. Yet all of them have similar figures of Xbox around 35 million.

Statistically speaking there are only around 1 to 1.5 million X owners.
Since the X launch approximately 4 million Xbox's have been sold Microsoft has said the S is still the best selling console. So if 25% of all Xbox sold since launch (which is a larger % than Pro) that would be 1 million X owners. I mean even if 49.9999999% of all Xbox sold were X's that would still only be 2 million.

It hasn't sold more than 4 million copies. As people often point out around here lots of people use game share and have multiple family members play it and of course lending disks and playing with friends.
Microsoft's statement about the game was that 4 million people had "played" PUBG not purchased.
