I'd say it was a mistake if only for the fact that the response to this has been overwhelmingly negative.
The only people who are happy about this are the most loyal of Xbox fans with even the moderates realizing this probably isn't good for consumers on the whole.
VGchartz was only off by 700,000 since a few month ago when Sony gave numbers. Whats that about 200k per month short? "rolls eyes"
This only makes me want to buy MS and SquareEnix products less.
aka: It's easier for kids to make charges to there parents cell-phone bill than it is to use there parents credit card...
To boldy monetize where no game has monetized before!
Those are the words of a tool.
Hurray!1!
I'm absolutely and totally sure EA won't fill his spot with someone even worse.
Personally, I can't wait till Bioware is in charge of all EA's micro-transactions in there sports and phone titles.
This is bad, but the people who really responsible are all the people who allowed the DMCA to be enacted in the way it is in the first place.
If people are really bothered they should stand up and fight for changes to this over arcing law.
Couldn't agree more.
"So having the fastest memory in the world isn’t useful if the processor stalls whenever you have to branch to another part of the code.”
I'm telling you that stalls and faults even in sloppy code are only going to equal 1-2% of the operations.
This article is so inaccurate.
The premise is basically faster memory isn't better because 1% of operations will fail to happen in a timely fashion.
Wow Axios... download from the disk eh?
I assume you mean install. Which takes about 5-10 Mins on PS4 which can install while you play.
Try downloading a 20-30+ GB game in that time... good luck. And you'll still have to install that download.
Work and "work in a playable fashion" are two totally different things.
Axios, you have to download games, it's not as simple or convenient as you pretend.
Personally if I am going to a friends house to play a new game I'd MUCH prefer to just take the disk. And if I want to loan a game to them I would WAY rather lend them a disk than give them my password.
Electronic Arts: Access is the Future
I sure hope not.
To be fair what make Neverwinter fun is the fact that it's NOTHING like Warcraft...
P.S. I didn't click that disagree
Hmm... well, i'd have to disagree,
While I really enjoy it's play style it's really hard to ignore the fact that exploits which Cryptic failed to fix and failed to roll back servers or even ban people who used the exploits. This allowed people to gain literally billions of AD and then wreck the ZAX, and manipulate the auction house.
There is currently close to a 10,000,000 AD backlog. It's basically broken the game to the point you can h...
Why do you keep saying that? It's not dead at all, it's actually quite popular.
The next update comes out in August, it's on their test server now.
Edited to add: I have seen there steam forum and it is basically 100% trolls.
I'm not saying the game is perfect and doesn't have problems, especially it's economy. But the Steam forum is honestly the worst place to use to casually judge the game.
I know right... why wouldn't EA want to nickel and dime people? /s
They should have just offered there games on games for gold. MS should have only given them that option.
I miss this guy, I can't believe Microsoft fired him just because he didn't know about nuclear submarines... Geez his specialty was rocket science, totally different subject!
