This is really sad.
Your willing to slow progress of gaming on the whole because Microsoft's console is weaker?
To get this out of the way I am a PC gamer primarily.
But last gen even when 360 had better ports than PS3 I don't ever remember anyone actually calling for 360 versions to be limited in any way shape or form.
It's just disappointing on the whole to see so many people praising some of the anti consumer ...
Just Cause 2 is one of the few games where me having not beaten it is actually a compliment. That game was huge.
I think that these console exclusives are Microsoft platforms will become less and less as time goes on.
PS4 is according to VGcharts selling 2.5:1 more units than Xbox. Given that they under-tracked PS4 by around 700k units in around 4 months the reality is PS4 is outselling Xbox about 3:1 globally, and the sales gap seems to be growing over time.
By the time TR comes out the gap will be somewhere around 10-12m Xbox's to 25-30m PS4. With a gap like that...
And this is why Microsoft hardware fails so often. Instead of listening to what the public wants (in this case retailers) and doing what they recommend. Microsoft instead comes up with unpopular and self serving plans and tries to force them on people.
Blaming it on Kinect is hugely over-simplifying the situation.
It's been a constant string of bad decision and poor PR from the beginning. Even now the choices they make are unpopular with the public.
People only have to look at the Tomb Raider affair to see they are still making unpopular decisions.
I'm not sure why anyone assumes these are accurate numbers. I mean this site managed to under-track PS4 by 700k over the course of 3 months since the last time Sony gave numbers.
HAHA, this guy is #2 best troll of all time, second only to Andy Kaufman.
Best joke ever!
If you believe this, I have a bridge to sell you.
Of course it was an attack on Sony.
It's not like this game wasn't going to be on Xbox if it was multi-platform.
The only reason this deal exists is to keep the game off PS4.
For me it boils down to this: Microsoft can't sell more consoles than Sony with just their own hardware, games and reputation, so they're just going pay to hinder Sony as much as they can. Basically, they're sore losers.
Hmm... I feel like the take away from MS's conference was negative.
I mean the only thing people talked about after the show was how Microsoft paid a boatload of money to buy a timed exclusive deal on Tomb Raider. And it's pretty obvious that the vast majority of people reacted negatively towards Microsoft.
After all that there was very little talk of the other games and things they showed.
I'm not saying Sony won but I'm p...
This strategy is ok now because they're trying to move consoles. But in the long term I doubt they will be so willing. Especially if it doesn't move a lot of consoles.
As time goes on and the gap widens each attempt at this will only cost them more and the third parties will be less and less willing to agree.
It's really hard to see this as a long term strategy given the way things are moving between the two companies.
0% interest in more cut and paste Assassins Creed games.
Welp, that's a for sure no buy from me.
The jump to 64-bit has taken way too long.
One of the best MMO's.
Easily the most fair monetization system in a F2P with basically 0% pay to win.
It also has the most balanced PvP of any MMO I've played.
I had forgotten about Sony selling off a boat load of SE stock a few months ago. That really does put things in a different perspective.
While I'm unhappy about the turn of events and still think it was a huge mistake on SE's part, it will be interesting to see Uncharted go face to face vs Tomb Raider.
Personally I liked the level design in Tomb Raider reboot a lot more than Uncharted. But Uncharted generally has a better story.
Can't wait!
#dealwithit!
You people who disagreed with me... there's going to be hell to pay when I see you at the water-cooler!

"It’s putting its consumer’s wants first over the ultimate quality of the game."
"And what if MS is exercising its power to FORCE developers to ensure that the competitor's version of the game doesn't look better than their own?"
I'm pretty sure I get it...
