I hear what you are saying Kman... I guess it depends a lot on the temperment of the company you work for, etc. Being that Microsoft's core dollars are associated with computing technology, they may not be so forgiving on unscheduled outages, but that is just my guess.

Me and you have sense enough to know that it is not a question of IF it will fail, but WHEN. Some places have different tolerance levels for major outages... site outages are much much different than enterprise...

Not that I care, I happened to be playing Alien Hominid last night when XBL crashed. I don't know if you guys understand, but this was a MAJOR ENTERPRISE-WIDE outage of XBOX LIVE. When this happens in the IT world, somebody's job is in immediate Jeopardy! This was not a planned/scheduled outage... so believe me, this is/was a big deal and somebody's head is rolling right now.

Especially since sites like N4G and others make it a big deal to report this as news. I know PSN ha...

Being that XBL is dead as a hammer right now since 10:45pm central time with no warning. Maybe hackers crashed XBL as payback for borrowing the music from the group who made the song on LBP.

* Bluray plays 1080p max and every acceptable television resolution below it though HDMI cable or other means.

* Microsoft had a chance to PARTNER with Sony and others on Bluray, but instead dumbassedly SOLD the VC-1 rights instead of making infinite amounts of residual income from a partnership product sales, etc.

* If Microsoft decides to use Bluray, Sony will be selling them their OWN VC-1 technology back to them at a premium price!!!
Since Bluray as a ...

Sony's Bluray success is a direct result of the implementation of the PS3 console. You can credit just about all past, current, and future Bluray revenue sales gains to the PS3. The money Sony is making hand over fist from Bluray is often forgotten and not properly credited. So I believe we can easily say that the PS3 has recouped any and every R&D dollars ever spent and then some. Especially since the PS3 STILL holds up as one of the best/fastest Bluray players in the general consume...

Don't fear, Sony has plenty of 60gb replacement parts for repair. I had my 60gb replaced for free about 8 months ago I think. Brand new shiny 60gb in the plastic... I cut the plastic from around the vents and kept it on the outside to protect it from scratches... my 60gb is in top shape.

Remove:
Optical Out
2 USB Ports
Power switch in the back
Multi-Card reader
PS2 type connector and make it HDMI out only (I know it hurts but time to upgrade your TVs anyway)

Keep:
2 USB ports(Any standard PC USB multiplier will work anyways)
Wifi (Since it is on the same chip as bluetooth anyhow)
Bluetooth (Must)
Bluray (Must)
HDMI
40 to 60GB hdd (they are cheap, even cheaper when bought in bulk)

In Infamous you seem to get around the city better than Spidey does, and looking at Prototype footage, looks like a ditto there.

Uhhh, lets take 1.5x download content and call it a Full Game so we can charge dumb unsuspecting users $60 plus tax for it!!

Fux you Valve, you won't get my cash for this... developers like you encourage people to mod their XBoxes so they won't get raped like this.

Too bad it causes problems for more honest game developers who work their knuckles to the bone to make games look and play well(ex. Infinity Ward).

Edit: Kudos to 360 fans who had the c...

Now it is possible, with the combined graphical power of the PS3 and this type of control with it, FINALLY it is POSSIBLE to make a game WORTHY of being a FPS style lightsaber game.

For example I can see: Hold down the X button and swing to with the controller to watch your force guided lightsaber be thrown into the distance ahead, all awhile controlling its movements by moving your wand.

Make this game yesterday please... bring on the Rancor and Yeti fights. Or...

This game looks like it plays EXACTLY like the hulk with the ability to pick up the occasional gun. I'm not saying that it is bad, but I cannot see preferring this to Infamous. I will probably still rent-n-play Protoype, but I am not sure about a purchase.

360 fans who have no access to Infamous may wanna pick this up. Or if you bought the Hulk some time back, just pop that in and imagine that he is in street clothes, no offense.

Edit: Oh wait, he can jump i...

I think Microsoft should work on perfecting Natal and making it a major implementation into their next console (XBox 720?) Imagine if each 720 came prepackaged with a standard controller and Natal option built in or in the box. I think the result would be huge for them and would give them boasting points.

It would also encourage developers to support the product thorougly and make it less than a gimmick, and give Natal a full application support that it needs.

I think from what we all have seen, both games will be well above average, if not awesome. It is simple, if you own only one console, and you like racing... buy the game for your respected system. If you own both systems and are a fan of racing (and you have the cash) buy them both.

But I think of Forza as more of the arcade type/a bit more instant gratification type fun... and there is nothing wrong with that. When I think of GT5, I think of a simulator with a bunch of vari...

I saw Star Trek last night and it was one of the greatest Sci-Fis ever made. And I am not even a trekkie. I hope that the Gears movie will be good since movies have not been so great lately and it has been increasingly expensive to go to the movies.

Hell, it is STANDARD now for people to sneak in their own sodas and snacks... it is no longer the "cheap" date it once was. I am glad I got to see Star Trek for free last night, but I will gladly pay to see that again (...

That is why I play this game and a hundred other Arcade Classics on a Neo Geo emulator. Looks and plays great on my PC with a nice ($15) 8 button controller.

Does Infamous = Crackdown meets Gears/Uncharted meets Force Unleashed?!!? The lightning sniping and gliding are super cool ideas/features. This game has instantly climbed into my purchase category after watching this video.

DVD9 is a standard tech even in the crappiest PC you can buy. To use this medium with a laughable attempt at using odd coding methods to protect the content is ludacris.

It is simple you plutonic jackazz, can you draw the similarities?

PCs+DVD = Pirated PC games
360+DVD = Pirated Console games
PS3+Bluray = No Suitable Pirating solution for the public.

As of now: PS3 Security > 360 + PC security.
